Charvel Pro-mod DK24 Review 

I'm so happy to hear clean sounds rather than all those shredding out there with tons of distortion.

Ok but I can't Focus on anything but his HAIR, its insane!

I feel like this video definitely shows what this guitar is capable of. Pretty much every guitar can sound huge with tons of gain and high volume. This actually shows me that this guitar is very good tone wise.

Bought one of these due to this great vid, and man. What an axe. The roasted maple neck has a similar feel to a JP15. This guitar is an absolute steal at the price point. Thanks for this review!

Dude. Awesome video! Congrats on getting your Charvel. Man! It sounds sweet! I just received my Charvel DK24 today. But I got the Okoume natural finish (think Nuno’s N4) with an ebony fretboard. I really love the Duncan Full Shred bridge pickup. The Kramer Nightswan I had back in the day (Dang! I’m old!) had a Full Shred and I was hooked on them since. My Charvel is a dual humbucker with a Duncan Jazz in the neck. It sounds real sweet, but hearing yours almost makes me wish I got the HSS. Happy jamming man!

man. I've been having a real hard time lately with life and I found your page today. my first guitar broke and I can no longer play it. I've had it for about 17 years and played the hell out of it. Extremely bummed is an understatement. I was looking for something to replace my Strat and I think I've found what I'm looking for. thanks for being a genuine dude and making great content! currently split between this and the So-cal style 1 in pharaoh gold. hmmmmmmm

I've got a Charvel from the 80's and that has a top mount jack like a Strat, but they've definitely found a better spot for it on the new ones! Nice review and playing man!

Good tone demo! The irony is I have the HSH version of this guitar and can get pretty much the same tone in the #4 position at about the 5:25 mark with mine as well per it's coil split. And Charvel's humbucker in the HSH neck has Alnico 2's so it's great for playing that rounded gibson humbucker sort of blues sound. And they did the middle position exactly the same on mine as this one (the 2 inner coil splits of the humbuckers).

I have been wanting one of these since I saw them announced. I just pulled the trigger and I'm pumped 🎸😻

Great review. Mine is an HSH and so far, my favorite pickup position is actually the humbucker in the nut/rhythm position - I think it actually works well for both for lead and rhythm

Some very tasty playing for this demo, I wasn’t in the market for a new guitar but came across one of these for sale used on Ebay and got curious, I really like it , sounds versatilelike the shell link color and love the jack input / output placement on the back 👍

I've been going back and forth between this guitar in primer grey, or an Ibanez Prestige. I might have to start considering the pink one now, she's a beauty! Great job on the review.

This guitar should be coming this week and holy guacamole I’m excited. Letting go of my RG 550 because I’m just tired of the Floyd Rose and I just like to switch tunings so much. As you mentioned the grey looks amazing with the roasted (cooked - caramelized- whatever it is lol) neck, but man that shell pink is so cool. I’m excited. Hey man great review! What's your take on the 510 gotoh tremolo compared to a floyd rose? Can it withstand a divebomb here and there or does it go out of tune easily?

Nice, ditto on liking the clean playing. I've been looking for a strat style guitar but play mostly clean. This guitar has been one of my choices but the Charvel metal shredder thing has held me back.

The “tele-mode” really sounds like a lap steel. Very cool and versatile.

Nice review. Really appreciate hearing the clean tones. Tasteful playing allows us to focus on the sound of the guitar. I didn't notice you quickly going for the volume knob when you stop plyaing, so not too much hummmmm?

Re" the jack plate position. I agree that it puts the cable out of the way but this will pull out the first time it gets caught on something or you step on it. Unless it can still be passed through the strap? Also, wondering if it can be used with an right angle jack?

Hi, i'm a session guitarist, i mostly play funk, jazz, gospel or rock, but this guitar really make me in love with it. I wanna ask, should i buy it? i'm trying to compare it with Ibanez AZ224 or AZ242.

I have a charvel pro San dimas metallic deep purple but am considering getting this one or the shell pink so cal. I love the look of the roasted neck with the shell pink and I love the look of this along with the input Jack's spot. My one question is can you use that whammy bar like a floyd rose?

I have an ibanez Prestige 2550Rg HSH. Im looking for a new guitar. The problem is i dont know what to buy the dk22 or the dk24 hss?

I have a mid 1980s Yamaha SE-612 that is very much like this guitar (SSH with coil tap on bridge HB), and has the same jack position basically. Good demo. Like these Charvel Pro Mods a lot.

Agree with a lot of your comments. You don't need 24 frets, but the position it puts the 21st and 22nd fret is key. The floating/non locking trem is killer too. Not a fan of Floyd Rose. Just never liked the tone. Always preferred an original strat trem.

Liked in the first 20 seconds for the pink boba and pink guitar

I wish there were more 24 fret guitars with single coil pickups in the neck! Singles and single sized buckers sound sooooo much better than a full size bucker that gets pushed way towards the bridge. The Joe Satriani signature Ibanez and the Guthrie Govan Suhr (or is it Tom Anderson?) and they cost an arm and a leg. Killer tone, as another commenter mentioned, as somebody that loves blues, jazz fusion, and instrumental rock, it's great to hear such a nice, warm, overdriven sound. I need to get me one of those suckers
