Homie made a bonehead play in the time of the game where you have to minimize bonehead plays…like come on, no need to reach like that. Who tf would call someone who is burning seconds on a clock with no timeouts “brave” like bro ANY RECEIVER would get crucified like Claypool did. Situations are always situational but this is a clear cut case of foolery taking over.

Claypool is a phenomenal physical talent. He is sadly severely lacking in maturity, emotional discipline, and general common sense. Steeler fans can attest to many examples of bone headed, stupid look at me moments, that have cost us. Hopefully he can get his head back on his shoulders and start using that thing between his ears more.

Celebrating on a TD should not be looked down upon whether he does or doesn’t, clock doesn’t keep running after a TD. What Claypool did directly negatively impacted the game and the Steelers and has no place in situational football. 2 different things.

The optics will never look good when you celebrate mediocrity. That was equivalent to the Lions winning their first game and I saw all that pomp and circumstance as if they won a super bowl. When you are losing, it looks bad to celebrate as if it isn’t a blowout.

They should make his celebration option automatic on every first down, and actually make his animation waste time in critical 4th quarter situations. Unfortunately, we're talking about Madden here though and when you choose a celebration option after a big play, they actually stop the clock for you while the animation is playing out. But that's EA for ya.

Theres no way Claypool actually had time to look around, find the ref, and recognize that he has time to showboat, instantly, in one motion. He just didnt think about the moment, straight up. And if the ref wasnt near by, nothing stopping him from getting up and getting the ball to the center or ref instead of waiting for someone to come to him. Doesnt make sense anyways.

I see this all the time in the NFL. A team can be losing by 50 but yet they still celebrate like there winning. The Steelers defense did it in this game. Sometimes they do it because they work hard and want to celebrate regardless if there losing. But some do it because they just don't care about winning and want to be cocky.

While I totally agree with you all of the momentum was with the Steelers the minute he made that catch. With one more play they probably score. Still probably lose by two but would’ve had a chance. 29-0 would mean certain loss against almost any team not QB’b by Cousins and coached by Zimmer. Vikings should fire their coach and draft a new QB. That second pick was ridiculous and classic Cousins. You run on 3rd and 4 when your guys are averaging 8 yards a carry and the only reason the Steelers have some hope is because of the previous stupid INT by Cousins. Followed by bad throws to go 3 and out.

Why does everyone keep saying he is a phenomenal athlete? He is just tall. He isn’t fast, his hands are just ok, and he never gets separation. I am a Steelers fan too, btw. He had a few good games the start of his rookie season, but teams have him figured out. He is just ok.

He was upset at the lineman when he came to get the ball to lined up. He yelled at the o-line after the spike. The reason the ball was on the ground was cuz even when the o-linemen came over for the ball he wasn’t giving it to him easily. Smh

He was mad cause the ball got knocked away and he thought it was the linemen. When you break it down Kendrick’s on the Vikings actually slides his hand in and knocks the ball away. Which should’ve been a delay of game penalty but the refs never saw it so it was a smart gamble by him.

@@BlackWolfSportsTalk Eric Kendrick took advantage of Claypools mistake, if Claypool ain’t celebrating wasting valuable time and instead gets up and immediately finds the ref who was running to the middle to set the ball. The ref doesn’t come sprinting to the player they go to the marker and it’s on the player to bring them the ball.

This is part of what made me love Barry Sanders. He'd absolutely embarrass an entire defense and just hand the ball to the ref as if it was no big deal. This moron celebrates after a 4 yard catch? He did his job, that is it. Where's the reason to celebrate? That should be expected, not something to be excited about.

This is the issue with drafting these guys so young... these athletes haven’t matured at all at this age and are handed millions of dollars... Athletes shouldn’t be allowed to leave early , honestly .. Should go 4 years... When he was At Norte Dame we didn’t hear or any issues , he was under a coach who had power to discipline , very structured , gets to the NFL no structure , no discipline , really immature.
