@Jesse Smith Andrew Jackson was a slave trader and forcibly removed tens of thousands of Native Americans from their native land. I don’t get why people glorify that clown
@@jflowers513 they like to justify brutality to compensate for what their lacking. The same people who say the United States is exceptional also love to remind us how unexceptional it is by repeating the every country did blank.
Man, was he treating college players like this!? Especially since college players had far less power to stand up for themselves when he was coaching college teams.
Most likely the same reason Nick Saban didn't do so well in the NFL. They must thrive off intimidating players that follow them which doesn't make for wins in the big league.
@@MattCange their fear and intimidation tactics don’t work on grown men. Coaches like Urban and Saban only good cause they get the best of the best college players and they play against average to ok teams. Hard to loose if your team is stack with future NFL stars. They struggled in pro cause they don’t know how to teach they players to be great without the fear tactics. Saban so beloved in college but couldn’t handle a full season with Dolphins before quitting.
@@kerxiong8030 and you’re playing for that career in the NFL and that payday that comes with it in college. These men know how good they are and are not gonna let a man that’s used to coaching kids tell them what to do in the man’s league.
I think that Varsity Blues is pretty accurate how a lot of college players get treated. They don't want their careers to end, so they have to take the abuse.
@@ToolforOffice not about treatment more about they not getting the respect. Especially kicker, pat made punter relevant especially now that more and more punters made big tackle in kickoff or punt like bosher and koch did. Kickers meanwhile just get the crap. If they made it nobody bats an eye even if its goal winning kick. But miss it, everybody losses their mind. How many nfl players, yes nfl players alright not trolls say kicker is not football player like what the hell??
True but Lambo looks like a "B" word. A grown man kicks me, he's getting slapped. I understand violence isnt always the best thing but you cant just let a bully punk you daily.
@@leonrobinson2475 Yea but they leave the field and go back to the locker room. Which is where the coaches office is. You think they watch film on the the field? Lololol
@@ryand4533 Shut up. You know he is trying to compare a normal office workplace to that of a football team environment. It is a stupid comparison, they are not remotely similar situations.
@@leonrobinson2475 You know Jack 💩 about the NFL obviously. Coaches spend as much time in their office if not more than on the field. They spend way more than 40 hrs at the offices. Again that’s where they watch film and do research and evaluate players.
I don't believe in cancel culture, but Urban should never be allowed to coach college athletes after that. And any employer kicking any employee should result in criminal charges.
He could easily hit him with an assault charge. Imagine if he legitimately got hurt. I’m still 100% convinced Urban Meyer is starring in his own Major League Workman’s Comp World Tour.
@@ethanweeter2732 if there are witnesses then it doesn’t matter if he admits to it. Also most teams film their practice so it’s likely on camera. Even though this shouldn’t even be the point.
Love it! I could co write it... that would be a blast... one scene just have Will kicking reporters ,and in the craziness we find out Will kicks a ball so well he becomes a starter.....mayhem galore.
I guarentee, no one back in college has stood up to him like that before, as he controlled their scholarship and future and could ruin it in heartbeat if he wanted too. That power trip seemingly carried over to the NFL, explaining why he thought he could get away with this bahaviour. But things don't work like that in the big leagues.
@@unitedleagueofgamers3633 Yeah, I imagine stories are going to start trickling out from players coached by him now, the floodgates are open. The dude is the embodiment of toxic.
You're out of your mind, all those young players that could get away with ANYTHING at their highschool, say or do whatever without consequence I am sure it happens ever year.
If I was that kicker I would’ve called Urban “college coach” every time he called me kicker, and if a big deal was made of it I would’ve said I’m top four kicking percentage all time and that Urban is one of the most successful college coaches of all time and I thought we were complimenting one another
Have any of you guys seen the Arron Hernandez doc. It had a piece in there about how crazy the entire team was while urban was coaching. They supposedly had people covering up rapes and murders on campus by football players.
@@BlackMountainCycles idk it’s possible but I definitely remember the craziness under urban being in the Arron doc. Apparently the university was accused of covering up a lot of crimes.
@@dannyquilter8366 Is there a kicker in the NFL today that could not kick the living sh1t out of Meyer? Lambo just didn't want to get in trouble for kicking Meyer's balls into his mouth.
Cuz I don’t think he is suicidal. Special teams are the ones that could get kicked out the door and no one really will react unless it’s a Butker or a Tucker. And in most cases, aren’t these big behemoths that can kill you from a shove.
Idk why pat was saying he didn't stand up for himself when the report said the kicker had told him to not do that again and urban said he would do it if he wanted to
The kicker is an important position. Just because they are not on the field all the time it doesn't mean the position is not important. Kickers have won Superbowls. I know the media gives the QB credit when the kicker wins, but I give the kicker credit, because he could have missed, and the QB would become irrelevant. LOL
Well, they are called special. I think if teams focused more on making their offenses less complex, they might not have to really use the kicker that much. Just make your team more disciplined and tougher than anybody else and that likely fixes the need for a kicker in an already good team.
I dont think his accuracy percentage matters as much as Pat is stressing it. He is a human regardless of how good he can kick and he should be treated with respect
Imagine how he treats college athletes. If he treats grown men like this, imagine how he treats young kids in college. College kids that have no agent or vice to express themselves.
Been subscribed to pat since he was in the hundreds with subscribers. I Ubered in Indianapolis and played his show for a lot of people and recommended it to even more. Really excited to see these guys take off, excellent show!
I’m almost never in favor of firing a head coach, particularly a first time head coach, after one season (or 13 games) but this needed to happen. I wouldn’t have been mad if it happened weeks ago tbh. It simply and obviously wasn’t working
My guess is that Urban kicked him and then walked away too quickly for him to respond. I can see the kicker being stunned/confused by the whole situation, and, then, once he’s processed what just happened, Urbana’s already 20+ feet out of range, walking away across the field.
Yep, everyone here is talking a big game but youre perfuming poorly at work and you know it, then your new manager walks in and kicks you out of the blue. Anyone pretending they’d be anything but confused is lying.
I dont care if you're the 32nd kicker in a 31 team league. You're a man and if another man thinks he can kick you show him he's got another thing coming!
I'm shocked by how many people I've seen side with Urban on this one. These aren't high school kids, these are grown ass, professional MEN. You have to treat them like men, not boys, to earn their respect.
Just don’t kick players in general. There is zero excuse for it. I can see punching. I can see slapping. I can see grabbing of the facemask. But I can never think of any circumstance where kicking someone is acceptable.
If you really want to know about the man, look what happened at Gatorville during Tebow's years at the school off the field. It will tell one everything they need to know about this POOR EXCUSE for a human being.
My question is has he been treating college players like this all that time he coached. In assuming yes some they don't have contacts and backing from a players association. I've been taking my brain trying to think if I've ever heard a former OSU player say good things about Urban.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a "me too" movement that starts up due to Urban getting exposed like this. I can't imagine that this behavior just started out of nowhere and against professionals with far more resources to knock his head into the dirt and be justified in doing so.
Urban wouldn’t have done this to another player. He took the smallest guy on the team because he knew he could. He’s just a coward. I’ve had a boss like Urban (never hit anybody but just bullied people under him for no reason).
doubt it didn’t you see he picked a fight with marvin jones whose pretty built as a wideout? he’s just a bully. My guy played with him at Utah this stuff happened he says all the time, he would make fun of players and put them down in front of the team.
@@oneandonly7191 I’m just talking about the kicking incident. I mean he’s definitely a bully no matter what but I don’t think (maybe I’m wrong) he would kick another player on that team aside from the kicker lol.
What if he’s just trolling urban by calling it a 5/10. Urban might have kicked him as hard as he could and Josh is like “ yeah 5/10. Wasn’t hard but it was uncomfortable”
