I hate college football. The fact that huge programs like bama or Ohio can pay little programs to play them for a few games and get easy wins. At least in the NFL their is a chance that the jets beat the patriots.

Recruiting is part of a college coaches job. Some of it is on the program, but a lot is on the coach. Also Saban brought the last place Browns defense to first place in the league in 4 years… they were back to 20th the year after he left. He’s the best recruiter, and an elite scheme coach. Meyer is underratedly good on scheme because people forget his Utah years, but he did seem to get somewhat lazy once he went to Ohio State (at least in comparison to his younger years) To be fair, a coach like Ed Orgeron was just a lucky recruiter.

When he was at Utah he didn’t have access (he did but wasn’t at a top school to recruit) to top recruits but he did pretty good at winning at Utah ain’t gonna lie..

Urban Myers is a good college coach and can compete ea year with saban.UNTIL he left for health issues came back and one at osu and left again. @@kjuergens1985 yes, recruiting in some situations is 60% of reason why they win championships. Also the culture behind teams is another huge reason why they succeed, which is created by coaches

There’s pairity in the nfl, at Ohio state he had a much better roster than most everyone they played

I saw him failing from a mile away for different reasons. He "retired" from coaching college football for "health reasons" 3 times. Then he comes out of left field and says he wants to be a head coach in the NFL?! My red flags were up in about 1/2 a second when I heard that. You think you can be successful in the NFL which requires way more time commitment and mental awareness/knowledge than in college after having retired 3 times for health reasons??? I'll take whatever he's on if he thought things would go well.

Great example. I dont always agree with sone of Campbells coaching decisions but 1 thing I can say for certain is that his players play hard for him because they know ultimately he has their back and best interest at heart. Meyer is everything you DON'T want in a leader and has always been that way but got away with it because he was always winning.
