A suspect in a stolen car smashed through fences, hit a CHP cruiser and drove on shredded tires during a wild hours-long chase that ended in Compton. Full story: abc7.com/chase-police-pursuit...
I LOVE the way the Arkansas police get after these idiot's that think they can outrun a radio. They don't fool around there. Even on the freeway, they will pit a vehicle if at all possible. There is non of this follow until they run out of gas.
This guy is the best narrator of these police car chases. He doesn’t talk for the sake of it, is fair towards police, is knowledgeable and his enthusiasm and interest is catching. Thanks for the great content and love seeing criminals caught!
@@nellyportugal8064 the thieves down the street from you feel the same way, maybe the opportunity to put 4 or 5 hot ones in the thief for trying to steal your car
@@MarsiFoxOfficial wrong, they dont wanna play bumper car with 3 of their cars so they just send their oldest one and let that one be the only one to take damage. they jews like that.
on the contrary pursuit laws and policies are changing across the nation If it's not a serious crime such as murder they won't pursue for very long before they call it off
There is a video where the chase lasted a little over 3 hours! Unfortunately the reporter was not this one, Chris Christi. Reporting was done by a very boring a man and a woman.
Exactly ! And then surrounding him all together openly for him easy to kill a few of them if he wanted to and has a gun and doesn’t care to get shot himself. How dumb are they???? What and where do they learn to „react“ like this?????
I know. I am pleading with my city police to do more than give tickets to criminals who steal, loot and traumatize citizens. They say to vote Rep/conservative. Gov G Newsom is weak and useless. Oppressive liberal left intends to get rid of tax payers. Ok!
It's been a national past time since the 90's, they have a TV station in every corner each with their own news chopper combined with 300+ days of full sun, SoCals car culture, the best weather in the country aka Christmas Day was 90°F that's why the conditions are perfect for this.
There's no reason whatsoever for 19 cops to be following this car. 3 or 4 would be just as good, and they wouldn't be blocking up the road like 19 cops do, either.
I don't understand why the police would let a pursuit go on for over a hour, when they had plenty of chases to do a pit to try to end this. That's a waste of man power & gas
@@pam8469 Arkansas cops are built different, I was shocked at the difference between what they will do there versus in LA! I’m an Aussie so it’s all different here but it’s amazing honestly
Yeah, I agree. Looks like they have no plan for after the pit. And with all the guns drawn after the stop. It's a wonder the cops didn't shoot each other. And how many cops does it take to subdue on man? Almost like the keystone cops.
the worst part is they arent allowed to stop them. so instead they have to follow and nanny them for hours until finally they get the green light to pit.
Everyone in that neighborhood got fed up with the driver! The lady getting out her car trying to stop him with her hands out (1:09:28), everyone filming him (1:21:03) and then the last guy pulling his truck right in front of him at 1:22:37? He pissed off the entire neighborhood lol
Wow, grew up in Southern California. Ĥappy we packed it up and relocated to another, greater, state not long ago, and NOT anywhere near any borders. 😮 I really feel a lot of compassion for Los Angeles police Dept, CHP"s and of course, our countries border patrol, who are out there protecting all of us at great risk. God bless their families. Keep them safe and back home to their families. Make America Great Again..
I think there should be legislation introduced to increase jail time based on how long a pursuit lasts. Something like an additional year for every 10 minutes the person(s) resist. The criminal resisting arrest not only endangers others, but eats up man hours of various agencies attempting to apprehend them. Maybe that would encourage offenders to give up more quickly.
The problem with this is people support things like 3 strike laws and mandatory life without parole for alot of crimes which creates a ton of people who literally have nothing to lose.
Not saying don't do it, but that just makes people more and more desperate the longer the pursuit goes on. They will have more and more reason to want to get away as the pursuit goes on. If this man was worried about jail time or what the laws were he wouldn't be doing what he is doing in the first place.
The police is letting this go on. Not the driver. Sure he’s not stopping but the police had many of chances to stop him with a pit maneuver or something. He will have a double life sentence after this according to what you’re talking about. The police are wasting their time and tax dollars. I think the police are bored or want to be on tv. This news guy talked about fatalities on other pursuits. Maybe should Stop chasing them and use the helicopters to keep track of them like they are. And strike fast and hard when they actually have a plan.
Thank goodness that second unit had such good instincts to box him in - or just let him slowly, very slowly, drive away. They had the whole highway to park in front of his stopped vehicle and they pulled up next to his door.
they didn't want a lawsuit if he still had crack left, they want to let him finish smoking it otherwise people will burn down the police station and make the cop lose his job and family's house
It's a sad world we are living in. Folks work hard, save their money to purchase various items. And other folks, take it upon themselves to feel entitled to your property. 😢
Those idiots going out to cheer him that girl running out think on next time it could be your car hijacked, and look at the outcome. I feel so sorry for those owners whose cars are stolen and wrecked.
This is not an action movie....I'm witnessing so many miracles in that there were no injuries, the tactics of the officers were SPOT ON - I could see how the pit maneuver works - the officers had public safety in mind by following the thief till it was safe for them and for the thief - as well as bystanders and unwitting travelers on the same road. Kudos to law enforcement. I lost track of the number of miracles I witnessed - till the end.....no physical harm to anyone. Amen!
I'm a 73 yr young Granny from Tennessee who is hooked on these things. It's a good thing that it is Police with knowledge and self control about pit manuvers because my little Black Ford Fiesta performs like it's packing a V-8 (no joke)! I'd floor that thing and bash them every time they ticked me off!! Otherwise, I'm a calm, loving, patient, placid Southern Grandmother! These villains just bring out the worst in me!
I am shocked at the length it takes the police to bring this to a stop . Considering its night time and hardly any people or cars around. When watching these car chassis in other countries it surprises me how long these last here. Maybe the police here could do with some training in other counties which might help them stop these faster .
In the event anyone is confused, the “rear view mirror” is the one on the inside of your windshield. The ones on each SIDE of your vehicle are called..you guessed it, side view mirrors. Sometimes I wonder if these reporters even drive a vehicle.
1:24:20 “As long & as far as this Kia will take him” why does it sound like a commercial😂1:28:08 “this Kia is refusing to give up on this guy” Kia is a great car that lowkey made me sad😢
10 /15 years ago when you start hearing multiple helicopters that aren't going away,, people start going out to see why they're not leaving. 20 years ago, all the local channels ended the scheduled programing to air the pursuit.
31:30 of course it’s a cell phone this new generation in the age of 2023. Everybody’s got a cell phone in their hand, even when the cops chase him. I like how they posted compasses in the bottom of the screen on each corner and the one with the helicopter and how they look out of sinc until the helicopter gets behind him and then they align perfectly, and how they show the speed awesome work by the news, crew, and great narration by the news man in the helicopter
Wow, what an intense and gripping pursuit! The precision and coordination displayed by law enforcement, particularly the California Highway Patrol, were truly commendable. Despite the suspect's erratic behavior and dangerous maneuvers, the officers maintained their composure and focused on safely apprehending the perpetrator. The perseverance and professionalism exhibited by the officers throughout the pursuit highlight their dedication to public safety. Kudos to the law enforcement team for bringing this high-stakes situation to a swift and successful conclusion!
I can't believe this went on for this long. UK traffic police use Stinger which is far superior to Spike Strips, and T-PAC which ends a pursuit far quicker and far more safely than PITT.
