From the above entitled album. This is the ethereal music played as the heavens and sky open up above the stadium currently known as Chase Field. The portion of the song that begins at about 0:57 and ends at about 5:05 is completely synchronous with the roof opening, a process which takes slightly over 4 minutes.

You'd think after 19 years of going to see our Diamondbacks that hearing this would not give you goosebumps when it opens... But it still does.

I was at opening day, March 31st, 1998, and many other games during that season at 8 years old, and these songs are the epitome of childhood nostalgia for the Arizona sports fan who grew up when I did. I've been looking for a physical copy of this CD for AGES, as the one I had disappeared when my family's truck was stolen. It needs a re-release for the 30th anniversary (or earlier)!

Fun fact: The opening sound effects were sounds recorded from the artists' garage door opener slowed down and electronified.

LMAO! I did laugh at this since I'm a Dodger fan living in Arizona and can't stand the D-Bags, but I can vouch for them this one time and say this is indeed the music they use when opening the roof. And it's actually pretty cool.

This music is very cool, thanks for posting it, ive been looking for it for a long long time, ive been to B.O.B./Chase Field many times, when the roof is opening with this song blaring, it makes the whole process very surreal, sometimes its the best part of the game lol.

Agree. The first time I went to BOB in 2000 to watch the Dbacks vs the Cubbies, the game ended but no one seemed to be leaving. It was in August, so it was hotter than hell outside so the roof was closed during the game. Anyway then this music started playing and I saw people looking up, but I didn't know what was going on. Then I looked up and saw the roof slowly opening and yup, it seemed like a sci fi movie or something, like we were inside a spaceship. it was awesome and one of the coolest things I'd seen up to that point. Those were the days.

It is definitely an awesome sight to behold. I was recently at a game and was completely disappointed to find that they did not play the music with the opening of the roof after the game. WE WON!!! I thought they always played the music when we won. Boooo!!!

Yeah, Sirius is a pretty commonly played song at the beginning of sporting events as the teams are coming out, warming up, etc. It’s got that feeling of anticipation and buildup that’s perfect for that sort of occasion.

This music is the original music played while the roof of Bank One Ballpark (now Chase Field) in Phoenix, AZ was opening. It was redone in 1999. It is from an album titled Sounds of B.O.B. The artist's names are Boxberger and Chadwick. Hope this helps:-)
