Chatting with an AI is extremely interesting, and you can learn pretty much anything about retro stuff. But in the end it all goes back to information. AI could not really explain you what it was like to first discover a new game and to enjoy playing it… Or could it???
Indeed it appears the AI could recreate a near perfect user experience and emulate realistic reminiscences from the past!
At the same time, AI Text To Image generators like DALL-E or Midjourney can bring you spectacular design with endless variations of whatever you can imagine. You can illustrate any topic you want with psychedelic pictures that no human mind would think of.

As always super and great video! You are a true artist in heart. I like your cinematic style..:) The Text-Generator is truly impressive, i have to admit. But as you said, it lacks the inspiration. It gathers the information together and puts it in a nice format without heart. You don't feel that the A.I. actually was a kid and played that game. And thats whats all about. Interesting, my next video is going into a similar direction. Nice coincidence :)

All ChatGPT can do is regurgitate its (enormous) training data set in various ways. All of the text you generated in the video all reads the same and can apply to anything. For example, replace the subject of "computer games" with "VHS movies", and the subject of "personal computer" with "VCR", and all of the text that was generated applies to that too. It's all generic. Don't tell someone else's stories. Tell YOUR stories. Don't start making videos with AI-generated scripts to use with your existing library of box and computer shots.

haha don't worry, I'm not going that way :) although it's probable this would work short term (there are plenty of examples on youtube with videos that are doing fine with that), it would certainly became a soulless channel long term.

ChatGPT did look promising, until its developers specifically programmed it to lie about several topics because reality kept rudely contradicting their warped ideology. Now it's just another waste of potential.
