I would flood the base of the boat before floating it, to see if water leaks out instead of leaking in when in the water, I imagine you eventually buying a little lake full of fish then hiring out your fleet and offer a fishing experience, You can also have a shop with your baits too :)

Use 1/2 inch pvc to run the wires through. Psint it the same color as the trailer then zip tie it to trailer. Works 👍

Careful with pressure treated wood and aluminum. That copper in the wood reacts with aluminum.

At night place a torch inside the upturned boat then with chalk circle any light that you can see through the hull this is the easiest and best way of finding leaks

Picked up a 1652 lowe from 1976 for $250 the other day. I feel like it was a steal. Its beat up a bit, but not bad for a 50 year old boat. Plus i work in sheet metal so some.bent aluminum doesnt scare me 😅

Thought i was doing good but you might have me beat, found me a 12 foot fiberglass vhull with a trailer, motor that needs a tune up, and a trollin motor mount for 500 bucks total gonna seal the whole thing before i put it in the water and set it up with a deck to fish off and a Bimini for the wife to chill under
