For what it's worth, I have tried the Adam's version and I am impressed (it does smell like a solvent). I have no experience with the 303. Thanks for the comparison Jimbo!

Love your videos, I would like to see you use some normal stuff people might get on their paint during a wash first before going to the big guns like a high ph soap, iron and tar removers, and maybe a few different ph wheel cleaners, I feel like that would be a little more helpful for the everyday enthusiast. Just a suggestion hope you’re having a great day. 👍🏼

I have never used the Adam's, but I did use the graphene coating of Turtle Wax and I recently used the 303 Graphene Nano-spray and I have have a little accident on my 303 coating which was completely my own fault: I washed my BMW Z4 e89 with tap-water and I expected it to rain off, because the forecast said so, but it did not happen. The result was that I was left with terrible waterspots on the black paint, because my mineral-rich tap-water dried up on the car. It looked terrible all over the roof, the bonnet and the trunk. Luckily I had a 303 coating on (and some beadmaker also) and after I washed the car with Turtle wax Max Power it looks perfect again and it has lost all of its water-spots. I applied a new coat of Bead-maker on it after that and it looks really magnificent again.

Another thing: why are all RU-vid detailers coming up with crazy ways to remove the coatings using all types of cleaners and solvents? I find it very unrealistic, as nobody would spend money and effort to apply a ceramic coating and then use all sorts of products that will remove it. It would be much more realistic to test by running multiple car washes, done with the same type of foam/shampoo that you would use on a car that is coated. I know that it might take dozens and dozens of washes to remove a ceramic coating, but this type of test would really tell us how many “weekly washes” the coating can withstand. Would this be too complicated to do?

I think you hit the nail on the head about water beading Vs. sheeting. Water beading is overrated: we are conditioned to look for good beading because that’s what you can see after a good coating, but in reality all that you want is for the water and the dirt to move away from your paint, so that your car stays clean longer. Actually, I find water beading a problem, more than an advantage: what if you can’t dry the car? Those beads will become water spots that you’ll need to remove later. Your method of using the wet MF towel and especially the blower are much more telling in my opinion, thank you for doing that.

With that said this video is not about boost it did come up in the search though. I'm sort of suspicious because I have never had my panel look like the left one after a wash. Adams ceramic graphene advanced tends to last about 9 months to a year where I'm located. And it lasts pretty strong until 8 months always. I can't see how it's destroyed on wash one. I’ve tried both. In person, Adams looks superior on paint. 303 has a weird silicone-like feel on the paint and dust seems to stick to it. The application of graphene in either product seems inconsequential. Synthetic paint sealants and ceramic coatings are still your best options for paint protection. Man...I wish I could like the 303 more than I do, but I give it about a 7 out of 10 for application. Protection-wise, I'm sure it's great, but we haven't had inclement weather yet, but I've applied 2 coats just in case. Wiping-on is super easy (almost like a fast-drying grease), and it dries fairly fast, but it does take some effort to buff out, and even then, you're left with streaks...and quite a bit of static. It does produce a great shine but the streaks get in the way of the color depth. I have applied it in both the shade and the sun with the car being cool to the touch both times. Unfortunately, I won't buy this again until they improve it somehow.

I tried the Black Magic and so far a couple days later still looks good. I don't have my hopes up with that one, people say Black Magic is bottom of the barrel. Looking at its MSDS sheet I could not find any mention of graphene at all. Just 3 ingredients unless I am missing something or the sheet is not complete. The ingredients are deionized water, glycol, and a very tiny amount of lye. When it is sprayed onto a white car, I see some gray but that could be dye (I hear rumors that cheap graphene products have dyes in them to make them convincing). The water beading and repellence is good but not what you would expect with a graphene product. I am convinced that some Dawn dish soap would obliterate the Black Magic fairly easily! I am thinking that there is indeed some Black Magic at work but not a good kind, more like smoke and mirrors really. This doesn't make me a cynic about graphene and other coatings at all I will point out! It just shows that there are some things out there that may not be what you might expect them to be. It is for these reasons that some people call graphene a "buzzword". They don't think you would ever really see anything like that in a product! It should be pointed out that those people have been made cynical by cheap oil additives that didn't do anything or work as expected, often because of misleading claims of certain benefits of using it.

I really feel like 303 is being marketed wrong as a coating. It's really just a good new age sealant.

Love your cheap versus expensive videos but I have to pick on one thing. It’s not this “verse” that, it’s “versus”. It’s like calling your Fathers sister your “ant”, she’s not an insect she’s your “aunt”. ... LOL! .... Keep up the good work and bring us more of these comparisons!!

can you do a test on chemical guys new hydrospeed

To me it seems the video maker is pretty biased tbh. Take note of the word "seems" In the video the 303 side looks better every time, so either the video maker doesn't see it, or I fail to see something the camera isn't picking up .

Not even a good test ur comparing 303 which is more of a quick detailer that adds a bit of protection to adams ceramic spray coating which is actually a ceramic coating just in a watered down form but still provides about a year or two of protection where the 303 is probably about 6 months I’d go with adams over any other product for their spray coating any day. This comparison actually seems a bit bias

I only really care about smell on interior products. Jimbo if you want the all time worst smelling is wowo crystal seal. In my experience the more the chemical smell equal better durability

Lol. All these kinds of products are scented based on consumer preferences, because, like you, consumers are gullible and irrational.

Camera position a little off. Otherwise liked the video.

It will be close but 303 should edge it out in durability

I'll stick AGAIN, with my seal and shine, new formula. Way easier to work with than the original version.

The smell is just chemicals evaporating. The ones the smell fruity are just mixed with scents. I'd rather deal with chemical smell that way I don't want to inhale anymore than I have to. All these products should be used in a well ventilated area.

Adams win its so obvious, comparing to price 303 is winner coz more cheaper and more or less same effect. But adams has better hydrophobic.

The Adams is a Ceramic based mix with Graphene . Graphene oxide the real Stuff is from 303 not ceramic based .

I’ve not tried either of these products but from your video it looks like Adams is doing a lot better than the 303 maybe is just the optics of the camera . It seems your trying to intentionally down play the higher cost product .

Lol. Money grab. Look up the price of graphene. If they contain any, it’s a trace amount.
