True talk, imagine my seven year old son telling me that their teacher told them that a boy is not meant to be in the kitchen. Because of this he has been washing dishes as his core job daily. We really need to change this narrative.
Its even in Nigerian text books When they taught my son that mother's job was to do laundry, he quivkly told them thats the job of a washing machine , not his mom
Please I’m a woman, don’t let him suffer for the teacher’s teachings. He is seven, is there anyone he can at least take turns with? Or maybe once in a while
@@kiv_daniels please rest. Boys need to learn, and what she's doing is her business. Let's stop telling parents how to parent their children. As long as they aren't harming the child, mind your business
You see a guy and he's telling you when I'm gaming no one distracts me not even my parents..... Like are you serious!!! A girl child can't even breathe without being interrupted or distracted....smh My son is definitely doing the dishes he might even learn catering among others.
I want to give you a hug so bad Toke. I can imagine how much judgment you went through with the release of your book and how many uncomfortable spaces you had to sit in or friends that stepped back from you. I was one of those people who finished your book on the first day of release in one sitting in my college dorm room and thought, wow! this is the most courageous African woman I know.
I genuinely love Toke and Toolz. I honestly didn’t know you guys had issues in the past and I sensed a hint of tension and distance during your conversation. But what I love most is the fact that you talked a bit about it towards the end, and that is growth and I am here for it 👏🏾 👏🏾 . Well done ladies 😘🥰
So true! i didn't like Toke for a long time because of her book. I felt it wasn't a good idea but as i grow older and now married, i honestly don't blame her. I'm so obsessed with Toke 😍🥰
As for daughter and son thing it's all depends on the parents. My mom had boys before the girls. She made a point of duty to train us on how to run all the home chores! We all know how to cook, clean and wash. That experience kept us grounded! It deeply helped us as bachelor's.
My darling TM, you spoke the truth, our mothers didn't try for us ladies, oddly remembering the time my friend's mum said a woman belongs to one man but a man belongs to many women, I kid you not, stared at this woman in disbelief.....well let God help us to find the right man/woman who believes in sticking to one partner.......
Good luck finding that man. I am Ghanaian and I have to tell you that of the about 110 guys on my school year book platform, only about 8 to 12 that I believe don’t cheat. That’s about 10%. 10%. So good luck to you and all the women out there, you’re all going to be fighting to land that 10% of men who don’t cheat. 100 women each trying to land one of only 10 good men. Kpele for you 😁. Of course you can also choose to be single, your choice.
@@PaultheSheik Let's assume you are right, let me also tell you there are Loads of women who cheat too, I hope you except that your wife will cheat on you also.
@@adebolaadewunmi177 We are not "assuming" I am right. I am speaking facts. It is your choice whether to accept it or not. Whether my wife will cheat or not is immaterial to the facts I have presented. It is not my fault you don't like the facts I have presented. It is what it is.
I understand you , I am also stating facts that women also cheat, cheating isn't gender based, Men are only indulged by the society when caught. Paternity fraud has always been in existence and is still in existence. Good luck to you in not raising another man's child @@PaultheSheik
@@adebolaadewunmi177 Paternity fraud is less than 2% meanwhile how many African men not only step out on their wives but actually have children with side chicks and second wives? I will conservatively say at least 10%. It is and remains a man's world in Africa dear. I must say I am very happy to be a man.😀 Are you perchance a woman? If so I can understand your frustration.
One of the greatest power anyone can utilize on earth 🌍 , is your ability to tell your story unapologetically. Peace ✌️comes when you listen to that still voice within you to forge ahead ❤ be courageous, sooner or later you will find your tribe & impact lives in the process
Don't interject when your guests are speaking, please, you cut your guest a couple of times when she tried to speak or explain something - I still love you and enjoyed this interview. Beautiful quality work my sister. 💖
21:53 and so on is a valuable lesson I learned in 2019. Marriage is like a business partnership. You don't own your spouse and you shouldn't control them. Very very key to have this in mind before tying the knot with anyone.
Toke, if you invite Guest, allow them talk. We all love the sound of your voice and the sense in things your points but allow your Guest talk well well.
I think it is common to all of them....Even Toolz and Gbemi does same...... It's not formal interview though..this is like gisting with your friend and both of you needed to talk simultenously
Very interesting conversation…just to chip in something where you said “like is greater than love”, like can never be greater than love what happens is on the days your partner does something you do not like you go back to love which is patient and holds no grudges. So love is in fact greater than like.
Nice conversations and topics but I feel the guest is not open enough, Toke did most of the talking and the guest kept avoiding questions 😂 overall the show was amazing ❤
Beautiful show... Love Toke's "as a matter of fact persona" and I could listen to Toolz speak forever...such a lovely voice, mannerisms and composure. Toke.... Try let your guests land on their points though. I understand your passion and excitement but be cautious.
Toke, please if the situation happens to you as a mother or mother in-law that u were reported to what advise will u give? Sincerely I was thinking that is the best advice a mother.
it is the double standards for me to be honest. when it comes to cheating, the society has normalised the man been right in as much as he begs you then you should take him back but if the tables were turned the man would literally burn the whole roof down. our culture isnt fair on women to be honest. i just wish we can do as much as men do too so they can know that the hurt really cut deep and dont have to get away with alot every damn time. really frustrating
The women are loving this conversation. Of course cheating should never be encouraged and is disgraceful, however Good luck to all you ladies finding that man man who doesn’t cheat. I am Ghanaian and I have to tell you that of the about 110 guys on my school year book WhatsApp platform (we’re in our forties), only about 8 to 12 that I believe don’t cheat. That’s about 10%. 10%.
