I went for a walk with my dog after I came out of Afib. Just talking about anything and everything but then I decided to start talking about some stuff that’s really important.
in the end it comes down to your resolve brother. sounds like you have all the motivation you need, to make the changes. now it comes down to doing it, and then remaining committed. I have gone through this over the last year, and made alot of changes. started working out again, went to a carnivore diet, quit smoking, and some other rather large things I have decided no longer have a place in my life. for me, I make up my mind about something and then put my stubborness to good use. I combine being stubborn with putting attention and intention into every single step I take.
Hello Will , you and your wife have been going through some really bad times . Hope you'll both keep being strong and bless you guys . Thank you for all the knowledge you given us through those year . You kick booty Will .
I had AFIB for years and I did not know I had a 5mm hole in a leaflet of my aortic valve. I required open heart surgery 2 years ago and it was replaced and also an AtriClip put on my left atrium. I’m not close to what I was pre-surgery, but I’m alive.
There is so much wisdom in this video. I got my Master's degree last year, proving everyone wrong, saying I couldn't do it, including my father (who has MS and doesn't want to change anything). Well, now I am sitting here, the 8th month without a proper job. I am still looking and applying for jobs, but it's not that easy. I am glad, life has dealt me a good hand, for now. It is scary for me to think, everything can change in an instant. I am so happy to hear from you.
Sorry to hear about your heart. I got a pacemaker in February and still get those butterfly flutter feelings and a lot of dizzy spells. But it could always be worse. It's nice to see you out and about. Stay chill.
So good to see you back. Loved listening to your life advice vids and general talks. Some of your life and psychology tips were gamechangers for me. Partcularly that vid where you said to use the 'not in this universe' idea for when trying to deal with woulda, shoulda coulda events. 'Don't spend your life slaying other peoples' dragons' is another beaut.
Will! Years ago I found your videos and learned so much about guitar setups from you…the more I watched the more I started itching to build my own guitars from scratch. Just wanted to thank you because I’m now halfway done with my first guitar built from scratch and I really couldn’t have gotten here without you. I also have a side job as a guitar tech. Working on my guitars is my therapy and I have you to thank for it. So happy to hear that you’re still doing your thing even with all of life’s obstacles. Even your mindset is something I aspire to. You’re the man ❤
Just want to tell you, i keep constantly coming back tò Watch the Guitar Building course i purchased in 2015, and Always find something new, always learning, always mesmering. Keep up!
It's always so good to hear from you. I relate in many ways . We're about same age and have dealt and deal with much of the same exact shit. I appreciate these talks. I'm looking forward to what you got cooking.
Good to see you Will ! I can relate to all the MS symptoms you mentioned, been going through the eye problems recently too.....new glasses on the way ! Take care of yourself ! ☮️♾️
When you have been following Will for a long long time, you stop and listen to what is being said, because more often than not, there's something to reflect upon and to learn. All the best Will.
Dear Will, I have noticed that lifting some light dumbbells (2-3 kgs) for a few minutes made a significant difference in my playing speed and precision for days. I guess it increases the blood flow to those muscles and tendons for a good while. I hope this helps because it saves time and feels very rewarding. Thanks for this video, always a pleasure to listen to your ideas and advice. Best of luck for your project!
Hi Will, an unexpected video from you is always welcome and as hard as I try not to I have to agree with you. It's good to see you haven't lost any of your pearls of wisdom. l'm already looking forward to your next video man.
Hey Will I wish you the best of health and may you get through these tough times. Your strong willed so you can get through it. I appreciate all the teachings that I learned from you. I bought your guitar course years ago and I always refer to you as my guitar teacher when it comes to building guitars, which I've gotten really good at.I thank you for that.I know you can do it man I'm rooting for you. P.S. you ain't lying when it comes to recording an album I'm still working on mine and it's been two years since I've had them written. Learning my DAW and everything it takes to record them is just like a whole new learning experience that takes a lot of time. Appreciate all you've done will I'm wishing you the best brother Hey you can call yourself arrogant for thinking about this acoustic being a breakthrough but I seen you build a one piece guitar bro I've never seen that before you can do that man😊 keep that confidence
32:50 - "Don't expect a reward for it" Your reward is the reaction you get, for doing that which somebody deserves when you see that they deserve it. There never was any other goal, other than trusting yourself - and your judgement (that), they deserved the kind word you are giving them.
Hey Will, for me it's hereditary. My father had A/F, had a heart attack and died at 64. My brother had A/F and died at 73. I got A/F at age 66. Repeated cardioversions. Failed medical management. Had to get used to it. Rate control and anticoagulation is the best I can do.
My Huntingtons, I can't wear bifocals because I will lose my balance. Plus 1.25 for my wawalkers Plus 3.25 for my readers 7 dollars a pair at dollar general!! Still on disability 1,179 a month by 4 last month usually last 3 😁 months or 4!! Love you all and have a blessed day!!! Happy trails everyone!!!!
Is it the same Acoustic idea you mentioned a couple of years ago? About cutting/molding the top so the braces are already apart of it? Because, never mind watching the odd acoustic video from Driftwood and such, I thought about it and realized not long after that the stability of the braces isn't just to keep the radius, it's the straight, long grain of the braces going against that of the top, preventing serious cracks all the way through, not to mention the material waist. I often think, depending on the amount of a solid body's weight relief, it should just be built like an acoustic (or just a window frame with a top and back), like Derek from Big D guitars showed in one hollow Tele video.
@@WillsEasyGuitar You got me there, man ! That video had hundreds of thousands of views? All my friends watched it and they fully agreed. Now we're left with Paul Reed Smith calling everyone who doesn't agree with the tone wood scam - nut jobs and conspiracy theorists. We need the vid now more than ever bro :)
Thanks for sharing , Will My father also spent a lot of time trying to "prove" himself to the wrong people.. and sometimes failing.. and unfortunately seemingly never learning from it, at the cost of his relation with the family (amongst others). whatever i am gonna accomplish in life, i'll only see it as such when it will be received as an act of generosity, and i expect that to not happen in my life time. i am not sure i am doing it for myself or for others... maybe i am doing it for whatever some may call "God" - that comes down to Purpose, in reductionist terms, neurochemically , it's all about Dopamine and all the things it regulates and supports. if life is about transcendence, in whatever shape that comes, dopamine (as part of mental and physical health) is an essential part of that for becoming reality, sooner or later. Purpose as the big picture, Dopamine as the engine oil (some may argue it's the fuel, i accept imperfect metaphors.. i recommend accepting imperfection), Life as the journey.
the purpose and meaning of life is one thing and one thing only. the experience. there is nothing else. try not to make the only experience you have a miserable one.
@@WillsEasyGuitar Fair enough. "Back in the day" when I was repairing guitars your videos and guitar building course helped a lot. I wanted to offer my services as mix/mastering engineer if that helps you. I'm no Chris Lord Alge but I've done it for some years now, and although it is only a guess, I would say we have a similar taste for music. Anyway, this is a way I can pay you back for all the hours of knowledge you shared.
is it possible to build an acoustic without a drum sander or hand planing stupid amounts of material? I dont think I can safely set my planer to less than 1/4"
when guitarrists mess around with the guitar setup, because they are guitarrists.. well.. theres luthiers for that.. and when luthiers try to be music producers.. well...
I think 99.9& of album recordings even since Bowie are cheating if we think if you are not playing whole song in one take you are cheating. Even probably most live albums are cheating and post-recorded stuff, some of it.
