That amp does sound really good. I'd almost prefer plugins be separated into sections like pedals/FX, amps and cabs. That way you can make your own signal chains for each track and you can do this independently of manufacturer. With sends and stuff in DAW you already have split signal chain possibility so the advantage of that in a plugin suite isn't that important IMO. It's not like physical hardware modelling/console war shit has to come into the plugin space. I'm happy to own from all over as long as it sounds good and is what I'm after.

I subscribe and it's the best amp sim suite I've ever used. The Krankenstein model in particular sounds fantastic when it's dialled in right.

I have had the 10 dollar monthly subscription for over a year and I use it everyday for practicing. It has everything I need except the Mesa Mark amps.

Great demo. Appreciate it. This sounds great and the format (business model) is pretty cool. I only have a few amp models and mostly stick to using my Boogie as the amount of options out there is pretty overwhelming.

Not only every other company should make a host plugin like this one to let us mix components from different releases without having to use them in a DAW… but they also should all add a trail spillover feature like STL did. I won’t ever use a product live if it doesn’t keep the reverb and delay trail when switching presets or enabling/disabling stompboxes.

@@LeonTodd STL Amphub does offer trails spillover, although you need to have the component in all presets you intend to use, and all settings need to be identical (with spillover switch enabled), otherwise you will still hear a cut/trail change. The component doesn’t have to be enabled on the next preset though, but the settings must be identical to the one you want to preserve. Not perfect indeed, but at least they offer this option! I waiting for Neural DSP and ML Sound Lab make this happen!

Great to see you reviewing plugins, Leon! Really appreciate it! What do you think of Amphub (and this particular amp model) in comparison to Neural DSP and your Fractal stuff? I bought individual components within Amphub and I have several plugins from Neural DSP. As much as I love the ecosystem of STl I still think that Neural DSP is a bit ahead in terms of response and authentiticy somehow. Thanks and best regards from northern Germany!

Option paralysis for me used to refer to which amp model/effects parameters i used. Now it's which modeler/plug-in. So many modelers (and this is a very good one), so little time.

I recently got Amphub and in my humble opinion it is the best amp sim. I use it on DI tracks to quad track under my Axe FX III which is of course the main tone. Love STL, they are awesome.

I find all the different amp sim plugins to be kind of the same. Offering basically the same popular amps with similar effects. If you get a good one by a good company your covered for what you would use it for I think. I have Overloud's TH-U and IK's Amplitube, but have tried quite a bit more and just settled with those. Both with expansion kits and the Mesa amps I mainly play. And they do what I want out of them. I actually prefer to expand more in Fractals processors to separate the guitar processing in it's own processing units that take the load off my computer recording and I can bring with me playing out so I have the exact tones I recorded with. Like running my FM3 direct into a board and the FRFR I have. Which you do of course Leon and seems to work very well for you, though you've said you're just using in ears now with no FRFR I believe.

This is what neural dsp should do but they have too many fanboys willing to throw money and keep on buying individual stuff with constant overlap in plugins and tools. Cough cough plague scythe studio's recent video.

Exactly. I was gonna purchase a fortin cali plugin but amphub seems like a way better value with constant updates.
