The 2021 FIDE World Cup is a 206-player knockout taking place in Krasnaya Polyana, near Sochi, Russia from July 12 to August 6. The prize fund is almost $1.9m, with $110,000 for the winner, while the finalists also qualify for the 2022 Candidates Tournament. The top 50 players, who include world nos 1 and 2 Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana, are seeded directly into Round 2.
Each match consists of two classical games where the players have 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment from move 1. If tied, a playoff will be held on the 3rd day. There are two 25+10 rapid games followed, if needed, by two 10+10 games, then two 5+3, and finally an Armageddon game, where White has 5 minutes to Black's 4 but a draw counts as a win for Black. No draw offers are allowed until after move 30. Official website: worldcup.fide.com

@@waynebranchCEO Agad had to be "discovered" also, meaning he started small and then his channel got more and more viewers and subscribers and I was/am one of them. I enjoyed his channel a lot ! Then by chance I came across Epic chess and I found his analyses and commentary of chess games very clear, to the point, and explaining the depth of different lines thereby exhibiting the beauty of chess as it is. So I of course made the comparison myself and can recommend his channel to everybody but of course there is always an element of style and personal preference. So, let me know your findings. I would appreciate 👍

I'm sorry but pretty much everyone does it better than him. Agad rarely explores the key variations and glances over important nuances of many positions. I don't mean to hate on him, and he's surely done a great deal for popularising the game of chess, but let's be objective for a second: explanation skills and thoroughness of analysis aren't exactly his strong suits.
