Priceless, and funny as hell. And some of us remember when smoking was allowed in places like welfare offices and supermarkets. There's more delightful dysfunction here than a person could hope for. Well worth watching.
In this scene we are fortunate enough to witness the birth of a legend and this was a few years before the first Police Academy. We salute you, Michael Winslow👏🏻
@@epcotman32 I'm on disability and at a social security office is actually very structured because they have a security guard all the time that watches you like a hawk. Now a welfare office for food stamps WIC and medicaid, that's usually another story. Especially the welfare office in toledo, Ohio I could write a novel of the crap I've seen in that office
When I tell you I was bawling tears of laughter when I saw this scene for the first time... There’s just so many things happening at once, once you focus on one thing, you get caught off guard by another thing and this process just repeats for four whole minutes. Comedic perfection.
Tommy Chong is a directors genius! This scene is the most incredible ever done. The elements that are all going on simultaneously are priceless and put together with impeccable timing!
it's pretty wholesome compared to today's films no hard drugs etc. but I dislike some the cuss words with God's name, I think given that a lot of young kids watched these films Cheech could have said let's keep that out.
I don't know how many times I've seen this clip on RU-vid but every single time I see it come up on my recommendations I always click on it and I ALWAYS LMAO 🤣
Everytime the old man laffs the heroin addict perks up from his nod lol I remember when I use to nod and sounds catch you off guard lol we use to call the nod watching a movie lol
You can see Tommy is smiling the whole time he is sandwiched between those two guys, I don't think that was scripted, he probably just lost his shit with all the hilarious noises they kept making, I know I would lol
The old man keeps the scene rolling. It's kinda like going to a live concert and the drummer and bass player keep playing little riffs between songs so there's no dead air.
I found out that the ole funny looking guy is the late John Steadman. He did a lot of small roles in many films and the Picante Sauce commercial! I loved hearing him laugh in this movie! He will be sorely missed!
And the black guy was Michael Winslow. He was an unknown actor in this movie with a bit part. He went on to become a huge star because of his amazing and unique ability to make any kind of sound effect with his voice.
what a brilliant maelstrom of comedic cacophony. this scene was so different. someone else said its like an acid trip. always thought the same. lol. so awesome.
I remember seeing this movie at a buddy's house we was all getting high af on weed and drinking back in like 90 and then this movie came on n none of us seen it so we started watching n we was non stop laughing from beginning 2 end but 4 some reason this scene stands out in my memory lol good times s/o 2 Rob & Chris wherever u guys r at 🙏
I was in an unemployment line like that in the 70s that when I lost my first job all they did was hook me up with another job that sucked worse than the one I had. the room looked exactly like that. I wish chech and chong were there.
HOLY JESUS! LOL, I totally forgot about that movie. There are soooo many subtle nuances in all there movies. I've seen all of them dozens of times and each time I watch 'em I pick up something new!
LMAO Michael Winslow was insanely funny in this scene. I remember the first time I seen this I laughed so hard that I actually had tears in my eyes. How in the world did he make those sounds? LOL
I don’t care how many times I see this scene I always have tears at the end and have to replay until my stomach hurts🤣the old guy just gets me evertime with his contageous laugh🤣and when the other guys snorts the coke can and acts like it’s a baby dang I’m done😅
MICHAEL LEON - Tell me about it. A hot babe like that would make anyone visit the local welfare office, even though many applicants are as dumb as tree stumps.
MichaelLeon ........... That is true, It look like San Francisco Tenderloin neighborhood and the blacks act just like that black guy in the movie.....................
I used to spend a day at my fathers house every week, just to watch a movie and hang out. I had never seen these movies before and I remember him renting them just for us to watch because he knew I had to know Cheech and Chong lol. (He looked exactly like Chong, too.) I will never forget those days.
I'm a school teacher turned security guard in a county welfare office. The only difference now is these pigs drag their 5 and 6 kids along in their new cars with $1,000 tattoos all over their obese bodies and an attitude to match.
@@williamdean4101 This system allows them to take advantage of it. If you come in with a nice ass car, and $1,000 phones, there should be someone saying hold up you're not getting shit until you explain the car, and cell phone.
OMG so funny. Never get tired of it. The old man - and the other three -- just hilarious. Never thought I would laugh so much at a Coca Cola can. Everything devolved into chaos. 😂😂😂😂
The old man had me dying. He laughed the whole time. That has been killing me since the 80s. 😂😂😂 Micheal Winslow went crazy in the end.😂😂😂 Chong broke character. 😂😂😂😂
The first time so seen this was with my buddies, high, of course… got trapped in a laugh vortex where we all stared choking from laughing so hard. It was funny and scary because it kept going and going! I was like what is happening here?! This bit is never ending! I can't breath!!!
It was so much shit going on at one time it's hard to keep your eye on everything right when you focus on one thing you for sure miss something else have to go back and replay a lot
