Aw yeah Guest Host Friday is back and today we have a most excellent guest host, Derrell Smith. Derrell is not only a retired NFL player, executive producer, and television host but he also is the host of and owner of Amazeballs pop up restaurant and catering AND he the man behind Mad Good Food over on @Tastemade. Today, he’s taking that portmanteau of a sandwich from 1936’s 1,001 Sandwiches, the Cheesegg Sandwich. And if you ask me, he greatly improves the show. Now I gotta step up my game!

Day 12 of asking Barry to make the sandwich I submitted~~~ Black Barry is a hit! Absolutely love this guys energy. The dance really brought it all together. I’d plus this up with some garlic in the sauce. I think the hot sauce was a great call too. Cheers gents!

Another great episode! I was skeptical of how this looked but now I can see how it can work. My first instinct for a plus-up was to add something with an herbaceous to cut through the richness of the cheesegg-some arugula, epazote, watercress, or even a gremolata, perhaps.
