It’s genuinely scary that Barry is an actual adult who’s raising his own child, yet all of his actions aren’t logically considered, instead impulsive and spontaneous like a toddler 😂😂 it’s terrifying that an actual adult can get so overstimulated by his environment that he completely forgot about his serious pineapple allergy and drank pineapple juice because it was in front of him 😂
The pineapple thing really does work well. I've had one for a few years and even though I don't buy whole pineapples all that often, when I do, this gadget comes in really handy.

That OXO pineapple corer is possibly the pinnacle of Gadgets to date. It does what it claims, does it easily and fast. It is not terribly bulky taking up kitchen space for other things. And they have used it since. If I ate pineapple more than once a year, I would probably get one.
I work in a kitchen where we use a similar pineapple corer. Those are fantastically useful. Ours doesn't ratchet, which seems pretty handy, but the tool itself has saved us so much time and effort.

The mini clothing washer gadget's company is promounced the same as we'd say the word "higher." That pineapple corer/ slicer is awesome! I felt James and Barry's excitement when it worked!
Not really, you can put in the sugar cold. The spill was just from overfilling, or making a pile in the middle. The spinning disc is hollow and has a tiny gap around the edge. The gap is too small for sugar crystals but will let molten sugar through. Those things usually work very well, they either had a faulty machine or one of a very bad quality.
Last year, I got a pineapple corer/slicer like this one on clearance for $4.99. First time I tried it and I had the same exact reaction! It really is awesome!! Super easy to use, no need to peel the pineapple, which is always a pain. And you end up with that cool fresh pineapple spiral and the perfect container for tropical/luau/tiki drinks. I think it’s the coolest kitchen item I’ve gotten in a long time!
I have had that pinapple thing for years. Pleasantly surprised to see it here. What would happen if you try and run a restaurant for a day with Ebbers and James pitched against eachother? Jamie, Mike, and Barry having to help them run the restaurant. Then let a restaurant critic come and judge the whole thing. Just an idea that popped into my head

That first gadget is funny, because the makers Haier have gone on to become a decent brand. Our actual washing machine and freezer are both Haier and are really solid machines.
You finally got to one I own, and I was thinking, "Oh no! I own that one! I think it is useful but maybe I am silly." and then they found it useful and I felt so validated.
I have a suggestion for a video. One of the normals tries to cook a difficult dish that they've never made before. They don't get a recipe, but one of the chefs is on the phone with them from another room. The chef has to guide them through it without seeing what they are doing. Suggested name: "Blind Bake".
When I first saw this video, I paused it, went to Amazon and ordered the exact pineapple corer/slider for my daughter. She uses it all the time and says it was life changing. She hated peeling and slicing pineapple! So thanks, SORTEDfood! It was useful!
As a man who has used a professional Cotton Candy (Sugar floss) machine at fairs and church events, the trick is that you need to know with the Sugar floss (cotton candy) machine is you need to let the center element heat up once its good and hot then you add the sugar in and you then you would go for a bit to start on the stick then gather up all the rest of the sugar off the walls of the machine.

Those cotton candy machines never work. A buddy of mine had one at his tenth birthday party. It worked once, then lit in fire and blew the breaker out.
The Oxo pineapple corer/slicer is basically a plastic version of a tool I've seen used at a Minnesota State Fair concession booth for over a decade. Of course, those pro versions at the state fair are pure stainless steel construction with maple handles, so they're tough enough for day's-long use, rather than the occasional daiquiri & mai tai party.
When I worked in grocery I had to make fruit tarts and that pineapple tool was a blessing for the half circles we needed for our corporate set fruit tarts.
I have just started watching kitchen gadgets and have found this to be very interesting and helpful. I love watching these being tested as I enjoy kitchen gadgets and this helps me to review whether i want to buy or not .. Stay safe and well (from New Zealand)
As a mom with small stain making kids, I think the first gadget would be helpful to get the stains out before throwing in the washer. Sometimes the washer doesnt do enough.
Normally i get a a few chuckles and really enjoy the vids, but this time... LOL ya'll have outdone yourselves! Jamie and the Pineapple i laughed so hard.
