Also they had no way of knowing about the Tonali situation, Milan screwed them over But next year, they are going to be way better. With no European football UCL might happen again, their squad is better than their 4th place finish 2 years ago Squad depth less of an issue with no europe
@@ryanptf3998 social media is the single worst thing that happens to our society in the 21st century. Instead of "connecting us together", it actually destroys every human connection between us. With that said, it was inevitable the moment the Internet became mainstream.
“I don’t think Chelsea are in a better position this year from last year” - we went from 12th to 6th, scoring more goals and our players are starting to develop, i don’t think sacking poch was the right move at all and was too soon but to say we are in a worse position is a stretch
It's amazing what a win does, isn't it. A few days ago, there was no plan at Man Utd, Ten Hag didn't have any plan, there was nothing good. All of a sudden, there's something building.
@@aaron827 cus Horses have 2 good features(fast and can pull things). Camels have 8 but they look weird and arent useful outside of extreme hot/cold tundra.
They’d have been favorites. Got to start filling the trophy cabinet again, somehow. And if West Ham was happy about winning it, then Newcastle should be too.
If they have an injury crisis like this season then sure, but it'd be really helpful for them to get some European experience under their belt, even if it is in the Conference League.
?? How ?? They want to be attractive to big players to get to the next part of the process, they’ve got all the money but players of world classs ability ain’t gonna want to go up to Newcastle now cos of no Europe, so no Newcastle have been crap all season, they have a crap manager and are a crap team, therefore deserve to be out of Europe! ❤️❤️ Newcastle hopefully will be forced to sell Isak and Bruno G and then they can enjoy mid table
Crisis is such an overused word by you Mark, Chelsea could win the Conference League and make history of being the first team to win every European Trophy
Of course he’s talking about Newcastle not getting Europe and Chelsea getting conference just shows that he was so upset that Newcastle and Chelsea finished above united
@@GhostonRU-vid201x what are you talking about😂 you guys have achieved nothing in the last years under boehly, compair Erik last season to pocha first season. If we had at least Martinez and varane this season we could compete for top 4. The game literally showed yesterday how good we can be if we have our key players back
@@GhostonRU-vid201x Chelsea fans treated finishing above United as a trophy and partied qualifying for Europa🤣👍 Enjoy battling WIFI passwords in the conference leauge as you go back to 10th next season with ur new manager since you love sacking them as much as our owners do for us
To be fair man u have probably done Newcastle a favour. Newcastle squad injuries and lack of depth would have crippled them again this season. Being out of euro competitions gives them better chance to focus on league and domestic cups which would probably be better for them for where they are now
Congrats to you Mark Goldbridge! From an LFC fan's perspective, I'd rather you guys have the FA Cup win than those bloody 115ers! Teach those buggers a lesson.
Thanks for that! The whole league needs to stick together against Middle Eastern corruption. Seriously those states barley have written laws - it’s just dictat.
Honestly - he's relying on one game to minimize United's situation and play up Chelsea and Newcastle's - I don't think playing counterattack football against a lackluster Man City team means United is suddenly out of the mud
Chelsea and Newcastle on crisis? Man United actually gave both of them the opportunity to surpass Man United once again lmao 😂. Chelsea and Newcastle can rest players for important Premier League fixtures and move up the ranks
Chelsea fan here, I'm still gutted that we lost the Europa League spot but fair play to you. In my opinion "crisis" is not a strong enough word for what is happening with our club, if the next manager doesn't do at least as well (or "well") as Pochettino did, I say we need to protest and get these clueless owners out.
Geordies in Azerbaijan would be carnage 😂😂..... A wouldnt be to disappointed if I was you.... Yous would have earned more from your Australia trip than yous would have by winning the confrence league
They might not deserve to represent your club but, like it or not, they do. Personally I'm happy to see those owners reverting Chelsea to what they were before they bought success.
It’s not really a crisis for us. We’re not in Europe anymore which allows us to focus completely on the league next season. Isak and Bruno will most likely stay. We will have Tonali back which is huge and then the players who were fringe players are now being replaced with more established premier league players such as Kelly and Aderabayo.
@@wobblysausage7387 same can be said about Chelsea and Newcastle, but then its just excuses, i hope manu keep Eth so can spend on rebuilding with more Anthonys and challenge top 4 lol
As a Chelsea fan, sacking Poch for a championship manager with no top flight experience is crazy, we should be looking for someone like Tuchel, Amorim, Mourinho, Xavi or even Nagelsman, but clealy Boehly doesnt want that and wants to relegate us…
Xavi is the right pick I think. He's a winning manager and even better than Poch. The board already fell out with Tuchel. And I dont want Mourinho or Tuchel back to ruin their Chelsea legacy.
This is why Manchester United fans are insufferable. They win a FA cup )when they had no business even being in the final) and suddenly they’re the best club in the world 🙄
As a Newcastle fan, I don’t think our club is in any form of crisis. It is all about developing the squads season by season and progressing step by step❤ Roma is not built is one day and I don’t hope our club over-spending to do something what we are not capable to at this moment.
Mate. Utd are in mire than a crisis. Need a major squad overhaul. Carrington isn't even close to being up to standards of the like of Arsenal, Tottenham training facilities. Old Trafford literally resembles a water park more than a football stadium. I could continue.
Definitely has that American approach. Like the movie Money Ball. You have people in different positions. Personally think the Gaffer is the most important person should pick his staff and players. Think the cost of football is so high now that owners want more control in case anything goes wrong.
I might be in the minority but I don’t see much wrong with that model. Clubs are tired of recruiting “the managers choice” then after that manager they are left with “the managers choice” which is then followed up by another set of “the managers choice”. Just get people in recruiting positions eg Ragnick, then get a manager who can manage the players that you have. Maybe if Man Utd had that model we wouldn’t have Malacia, Antony, Mount. That new model can work, the better players at Man Utd now are the ones who were here before Ten Hag or the ones who came through the youth system. Not much wrong with it IMO
@@AWY-LO finished above United in the league after Mark spent the whole season mocking them and talking down about them. Conference league is still Europe 🤷🏼♂️. Lets not forget City should of had a penalty in the first half yesterday
American model in terms of having a general manager primarily in charge of bringing in new players - the American model makes sense to me - you need a dedicated team to sort through the countless players across the globe and decide who is talented enough to bring in - the old days of having one manager decide transfers and coach the first team are gone - also, managers don't last so why let them dictate who your club brings in instead of experts who will be around longer
As a AC Milan supporter I see the same thing happening to our club, and it has one common denominator. AMERICAN OWNERS(can’t speak for United lol). But I’m seeing this trend of money ball purchases, buying potential rather than established players, willingness to sell top players and the biggest one for me is a “weak” coach because having an older/experienced coach means they’ll want to bring in their guys, they’ll want a say on things and etc. So maybe this the direction of these private equity companies who buy Football teams, they don’t wanna make em sporting successful per say
Chelsea has only lost once in their last 15 games, including winning their last 5 games. When the players came back from injuries, u can see how good they can be, despite of their coach. I look forward to Chelsea winning even more next year. Doesn't matter who the coach would be.
As a Newcastle fan absolutely delighted we aren't playing Thursday / Sunday. Howe needs a week to set the team up and the way we play need a week to recover. Perfect for us.
There's cause for concern about LFC's management strategy also. Slot will be 'Head Coach' apparently. Not the same Job description as Klopps 'manager'.
It’s more akin to American football management. They have a “general manager” (non-coach) in the front office that drafts players, trades players, and picks up players. Some coaches have some say in these moves/acquisitions but others do not at all. Seems to be what Chelsea may be moving to.
Sacking Ten Hag does not set United back to zero. The era of building a team specifically for a new manager is over. What is there is just as much a starting point for a new manager as it is for Ten Hag. Any new manager hired will be picked to work which the players who are there and the players Ineos are targeting. The manager will have minimal say in the matter, their job will be to coach the team and that's it.
As a Newcastle fan I'd of taken a spot in the Europa because winning it gets a CL spot but I've no interest in the Conference League as it's a nothing competition with poor financial incentives and it's hardly going to bring any real allure for prospective big transfer signings. I'd rather just focus on the Prem and let Chelsea deal with the extra games next season😅
Don't like the fact the FA cup is a back door to Europe, what's the point in the league position if a team lower than you can leapfrog you 🙆, is the premier league going to refund Chelsea and Newcastle for there loss, sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing still 🤦
It makes qualifying for Europe interesting, though. Plus, it's a legacy rule from when it Europa was the cup winner's cup before the champions league/Europe rebrand. It would be strange to just change it now.
Chelsea's reasons for getting rid of Poch & not wanting Tuchel back make me wonder why everyone is so worried about one of them going to United. Why would they both have left Chelsea because they didn't have enough control just for one of them to rock up at United, who according to Mark, want to implement the same system under INEOS as the Chelsea owner has brought in? If United go for Poch or TT, it says to me that INEOS just don't want Ten Hag and it's nothing to do with wanting a puppet.
Losing the Conference League Spot is frustrating as we need to get used to having multiple games per week. Plus Conference League would be good for us but not for Chelsea or Man Utd. We still have a lot of poor players at our club. It depresses me when I look at our bench and see Ritchie and Dummett on it. That was our left-hand side when we were in the championship in 2016-17. FFP is hindering us massively and our squad needs a lot of investment still. We have overachieved the last two seasons. Trust me. Supporting Newcastle before the takeover was depressing. In all honesty, I just want to see us finally lift a trophy. I just want to have that feeling that Man Utd had yesterday. Finally seeing Newcastle lift a major trophy. Even if it was the Conference League or the League Cup. The only trophies we can win are the FA and League Cup, which will be difficult. I would even take scamming a cup having favourable draws and then actually performing in a cup final. That is another thing. In my life. The last 3 times we have reached a cup final. We fail to perform. I think we will keep our quality players for next season. But they will leave if we don't win anything or have any European football for the 2025-26 season. So we must win something next season and secure the top 4.
1 bright spot for NUFC,for now: season's loss of European footie, means Ritchie and Dummett will not get contract extensions and are out of the door,in the next few weeks ! 😉
@@Espeo how? Chelsea and newcastle finished above them and played much better football. Utd aren't any better than they were two days ago. A trophy is a trophy but it shouldn't decide how successful a team is over a 9 month season. Same type of guy to say arsenal is having a bad season.
WTF are you on about??? Crisis????? You were 90 minutes from a "Crisis" yourself. A team without a manager, A team that poaches backroom staff, A team with star players"Rasford" not going to the Euros. That to me that sounds like Crises. Newcastle are fine
United struggled to finish 8th being knocked out of Europe since December. Playing Thursday Sunday all season you might find you’ll finish even lower. This could be a blessing in disguise for Newcastle can see them having a strong season now.
Mangers tend to leave clubs in financial difficulties once they leave coz then clubs would have to get rid of players and buy new ones for the new manager which is always extremely hard to do. I actually believe it’s fine if you build a squad and ethos that will be a lot more sustainable. Chelsea and Newcastle will be just fine coz they actually have the best squads apart from Liverpool,City and Arsenal
Mark is so lame bruh. Im not a Chelsea fan but clowning Chelsea and celebrating getting Europa league just to get absolutely embarrassed in europa🤦🏿♂️
Chelsea got embarassed even without playing single game in the uel. Something that we TOOK OFF THEIR HANDS like you snatch a kids lollipop that you know he'll drop on the floor anyway. Know your place
If Newcastle no longer being in the Europa Conference League is classed as a crisis. Then spare a thought for every household who can't afford their energy bills.
