So sad. John and Caroline obviously loved each other very deeply... especially considering she spent so much money on a memorial card when she could probably barely afford it

'just shows hard work pays off'....until you are left a widow with children through no fault of your own. Don't believe the BS that there is meritocracy. Often there really is just bad, bad luck.

I've just watched this and I sense from the picture Cheryl got Caroline was Pregnant and didn't want John to go but knew it was what had to be , he was adventurous and would often just make a decision and Go , Also I feel her Dread being pregnant and knowing that it could be the last time she saw him , I think that picture was took the day/Week he left . How Sad we don't know how lucky we are Now compared to them as Men did what they had to do and Women the same . Real Call of Duty .

He sailed past Gross Isle which will mean nothing to English people with a total ignorance of the Irish famine, but to Irish people it is a symbol of the continuing death of Irish people fleeing the artificial famine. 3,000 - 5,000 Irish men women and children who survived the famine died there of famine related diseases.

Give up. Most of us from the lower classes are part Irish, you twit. It was a lot cheaper for Irish famine refugees to afford a ferry to England than cough up money for a transatlantic voyage. I'm English with several rounds of Irish immigrants starting in the 18th century right up to post WW2.

are you all disturbed or what about that! There is absolutely nothing wrong with this girl. I have never seen such a lovely beautiful woman in showbisness. She has a good upbringing and is not at all conceited. You are either jealous or dead unhappy with your self, what you see in someone else lives in yourself!

Funny how they won’t let you go past 1840? That’s because there was a huge reset. Take a look at all the buildings around you, all around the world. Do they look like they were built in the late 1700s early 1800s from people with horse and cart?

Who is "they"? Ancestry? Their database goes back to around 1640 for my family. I don't have a subscription anymore, but I used to. It's interesting stuff. Technically, I also have records of some of my ancestors being the first settlers of a specific village around the year 1580, but that's just their names.. not really anything genealogical like relationships. Just the names of the people alive at the time.
@lisachaput2952
@lisachaput2952 Год назад
No, when researching ancestry things are messed up around 1860 in the United States due to the Civil War, because records were lost and after, I don't think most people took care of paperwork.
