Eric Rosen played a whole online tournament with the Cow and he was impressively good. TBH he tried to remove the cow most of the time he once installed it.

I personally love these style of openings xD king's fianchetto opening is the one I think I use I think ; with a similar intent to let my opp have as much space to blunder pieces as possible

I dunno what level you are...at 2100, I'm gonna just play similar to Anna, grab the centre and castle. Obviously a titled player would beat me with the cow but unbeatable is a strong word...

I imagine it's because it's unfamiliar to older players so they have to think. Once they become familiar with the new format I bet it won't win as consistently.

Yes but did she go into the match to intentionally lose ? I’m just curious because I can’t tell if that’s it or maybe she was gonna play to see how he plays her opening while trying to win... good video of course either way I just wanna end my need to know feeling.

@@NoThanksblahhhh0751 She did not lose intentionally. In fact, Eric is a GM and WAY above Anna's level, she doesn't stand a chance against that caliber of a player even when he plays a bad opening.

I don’t think he was faking the confusion when he realized that at the end of the match. I they were talking through things with each other the whole match which he said was new to him. I’m guessing he probably dies not do social media videos while playing chess whatsoever, while Anna is very use to a lot of input and distractions... I’m trying to see him in a collaboration with the Botez sisters while Lev is screaming “the rook!”. Sensory overload for him but Anna can do that and not miss a beat. I think he was honestly new to a RU-vid video while playing and trying a new opening and Anna doing some basic Anna trash talk asking him what he’s gonna do with His pieces etc... was all new and fun but the faux-confusion was just confusion imo.

Good chess players know very little of life off the board. The game consumes you, and it becomes an escape from reality many times.

There's so much wrong with this. I'm not trying to be rude but there's a few problems with this. First, rooks don't do well with a full board. They are much more powerful at the end of the game when they have open space. Second you have ruined your fortress that you get after castling. Third, and its hard to explain this without a board in front of us... But if you spend your first 6 moves touching only your outer pawns while the other player touches each of their minor pieces once along with two central pawns the difference in the squares that player can hit compared to you with a full pawn line is monumental. The kids I taught chess in an after school program really liked your proposed way of playing and I'd have to destroy them to show why it wasn't the best plan.
