Maybe the guy put heaps of springs in there because he was putting more than a tonne of weight on the back even modern trucks at least you down under the working class ones have more springs and the review say they write harsher than the other aspect soft ones meant for great nomads in caravans love those people full of knowledge but a ride like crap when they’re empty until you stick half to 3/4 of a designated load the back in theBack and then they beautiful
Love the truck. We have a 1984 K20 with 75k miles, 6.2 diesel that we use for our business. Great truck, not the fastest truck but it does the job with ease.
If you go to a truck spring shop they have all those pieces in stock. The leaves, the hangers, the clamps, etc. They can hook you up easy- whatever you want.
I’ve got the semi floating rearend under my k20 too I’ve been thinking about putting a dually rearend under but idk if my stump would work in the dually housing because mine is a 6 cylinder
@milkcrate82, @ celso guajardo villarreal Said to you That: "Excellent work!! As it was modified for heavy load for all that was too much, now it returned to its original state and with the new bushings and new shock absorbers it greatly improved its handling, it will no longer jump off the seat !!! Greetings from Santa Rosa Apodaca Nuevo Leon(New Lion) Mexico......"

Good evening I have a question how thick was that plate you used to weld on the upper king pin. And how big was the hole you cut out of the plate thank you.
I had a '79 K10 broken leaf springs both sides went to a salvage yard he gave me for free a pair from a K20 they bolted right on but like you said the ride was so ruff every bump felt like someone was pounding on my spine with a ball peen hammer
This truck had a hard life as a ranch truck in west Texas for a number of years. Almost solely driven by 18 year old, hired ranch hands pulling severely overloaded stock trailers with it. They added a bunch of suspension to a 3/4 ton truck when they really needed a 1 ton or heavier.🤔
