Replacing the thermostat in a 2007 - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with the 5.3 - super easy and quick to do!
My truck was starting and running normally and stopped blowing warm air out of the vents. The temperature gauge was showing the truck was warming up just fine. The coolant overflow tank was. it getting warm very fast (was staying cool even through the truck showed it was at 200° is so and when idling, the temp would get higher than normal. All seemed to point to a bad t-stat.
