Ordered the tool after watching this video. Placed the order and it arrived 2 days later. Awesome tool! Really ingenious solution that saved me from pulling my temperature sending unit and header to remove a short dowel pin. The process of removing the dowel pin took a maximum of 15 minutes to accomplish. Really thankful I found this video and this tool!
So happy I found this video and that he's still making these! This made removing my dowel pins from a chevy 6.5 Diesel fairly simple while the engine was installed.
Just wanted to write a little note about this tool. I ordered one of these, paid him through paypal, and it arrived about 3 days later. I used it yesterday on my sbc that is in my car, and they worked perfectly. He was excellent to work with and the tool works really well. thank you!
I just received the tool and it worked great. Both pins out in about 20 minutes, with the engine in the car. I tried everything, vise grips, pliers, pipe wrench, a lot of heat and got no where. With very little room to work because of headers and the floor it was a nightmare. Well it was until this tool saved the day. Dowel pins have been in the block for 56 years and came right out. I recommend this tool. It will save you time and endless headaches. Thanks!!!
This tool save the day for me. Not only receiving this tool from across the country in 2 days, I immediately put it to work after destroying one of the dowels, trying to remove the dowels with locking pliers and pipe wrenches, it pulled them both out with ease and didn't have to pull the engine to do it. can't thank you enough for this and like I told you, need to patent it! I like most removing these dowels because I'm up grading to a tremek 5 speed and needed to align my bell housing, this tool should be included with the kit.
I am excited to get this tool. The issue of removing dowel pins can be a real nightmare, especially when the engine is in the car. I've tried vise grips and everything else to get the dowels out. Really did not want to resort to air chisel in fear of breaking the block. There is also the issue of any type of clearance when trying to get tools around headers. This tool is awesome. The video has giving me new hope and seems pretty straight forward.
Just watched your video, and it's just what I need, Are you still making the dowel pin remover? I'll be using it on a Pontiac, but it should work, I'm hoping.
@@haynuzband I'm interested. I have an M21 car and I'm considering going to a TKX but I won't know until the end of the year. So, I'll get back to you then.
