Enjoy the videos Kat! I have a garage. On my 86 mile trip to the airport, I often avoid using my heat or cool just to make the round trip with no stops. My windows are tinted. I have a level 2 plug at home and have avoided using DC. I do have a back up ICE car when its needed. My 21 is red. Second one I've owned!
I think it looks GREAT !!!! I have been looking at Bolts for about 2 years and I’m wishing I had pulled the trigger prior to the current fuel situation. I can’t find hardly any for sale now, but I’m determined ! Love your videos ! ❤️ from Atlanta.
Thank you for the compliment and for watching my videos! I hope you find a Bolt soon. I was introduced to the car by a friend and explored the idea for about 5 months before buying in April 2021. Let me know when you get one! ⚡️⚡️
I didn't know that tinting is illegal in RI! I love my Bolt's color too! It's "cayenne orange metallic" and looks either reddish or orangey depending on the light. What color is your Bolt?
@@theelectrickats5694 It’s the Gray Metallic that is commonly seen, but it’s much like my personality - gray and metallic. Hehe. Kidding. But yeah RI has very strict laws on the road. They want to make sure cops can see everything you’re doing. 😂
Can't go wrong with gray! My previous ICE car (a Honda Civic) was gray, and I wanted something "louder" for my Bolt. In California, I believe there is only a tint restriction for the front windshield and windows.
Did you get your hatchback window done too? Can`t tell by the video.Would you mind sharing what it cost you for that grade of ceramic tinting.I ordered a new Bolt 2LT last month and am waiting for it to come in.SC has some brutally hot and humid days too so I am thinking tinting will save some battery juice when running climate control.
Yes, the hatchback window got tinted too. The total cost before tax was $449. Best wishes on your new Bolt! I think SC heat would definitely make window tinting worthwhile. Thank you for watching!
Nice! I used to live in The City and then Berkeley and probably wouldn't tint my windows if I were still in either of those places. It get HOT out in Walnut Creek where I am based now and the tints make such a nice difference. ☀️😎
*I see some similarities with your EV experience and mine through your videos. I got a quote from a tint company earlier this morning and proceeded to set up an appointment to get ceramic tint on my front and back windows.*
Awesome! From the little bit of research I did, it seems ceramic is the way to go for heat protection in conditions with lots of sun. Hope you enjoy the result!
@@theelectrickats5694 *Most definitely, I live in Florida so it’s been brutal enough this summer to convince me to go forward with the tints. I spend a lot of time in my Bolt, so I need it to be cool and comfortable haha.*
Please check your state laws, every state has different amount of tint allowed…a few don’t allow any ! Tint companies don’t tell you this, they will always be happy to take your money
Taking the plunge into EV world...i ordered a new Bolt EV 2LT, but will need to patiently wait 3-4 months for it. Hoping it works well for my 120 mile RT daily commute. The crazy prices of gas prompted this decision. Also, Chevy is offering $5900 discount + California adding $750 discount. No brainer!
I'm excited for your new Bolt! High California gas prices were a large factor in my decision to buy a Bolt in spring 2021. If you're eligible, make sure to check out California's Clean Vehicle Rebate Project. I talk about this rebate towards the end of this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K11mNZ741d0.html
