Chevy Infotainment 3 (2021) Detailed Tutorial and Review: Tech Help 

I just bought the 2021 High Country 3500.. Love the fact that everything is wireless, including the Apple car play. Wireless charging port is great as well. Not a single cord in my new truck. My last Silverado had three.

Great review. I think many would find it helpful if you mentioned for the 2021 model year, Apple Carplay is now wireless which is a big deal to some.

Nice upgrade from MyLink in my new Silverado. I got used to it in my old Silverado and then my Canyon Denali, but also got used to its shortcomings. New system is more straightforward and intuitive. Thanks.

I just bought a 2021 LTX Z71 and this system is buggy as hell. The radio turns itself on when you start the truck. Even if you physically turned it off. Also, the apps icon doesn’t work and the marketplace app isn’t even there. The my Chevrolet app shows the weather channel and several other apps but you can’t get those to show up on the truck. I’ve talked to GM five different times and they say a software update is being worked on but they don’t know when it will be available. So my free month of these features will be expired before I even get to try them out. I personally am okay with the screen size. I like physical buttons more than a touch screen. Muscle memory takes over and I can make adjustments without taking my eyes off the road.

Howdy, awesome video as always y’all! I think GM is super good at infortainmemt! Also, why do people hate tolls, I get you have to pay, but I sure as heck aren’t driving way out of my way to avoid one! Also, a lot pf times, people spend more in gas to avoid the toll than the price of the tole! Sorry for the rant!😑😸😻😸

Nice Review. I have recently purchased a 2021 Sierra and still learning how to use the Infotainment 3. Is there a way to play music from a USB stick? I can't get my system to play from a 32 GB USB Stick.

This is the Chevy Infotainment System 3 PLUS or PREMIUM, not the standard CIS 3. The CIS 3 doesn’t have navigation nor a user account selection. I had a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country with all the bells and whistles. It had everything you are describing here plus the 15 camera angles. I traded it in for a 2021 RST which has the basic CIS 3 and it’s awful. I had to have it worked on THREE times at the dealership and it’s still not right. I used my phone with it for navigation which the system said I had to be plugged into it to use Apple CarPlay. This truck was brand new from the factory and the CIS 3 is crap. This is my sixth Silverado and I’m SO disappointed with it. It seems as though they skimped out on a lot things on this truck that use to be standard including quality assurance. I also had to get the LED headlights re-aimed. I know it’s not the High Country I had but it should come with a lot more than it currently has at a 53K price point. So, I’m gonna wait until the new updated Silverado comes out and trade this disappointing truck in.

I have a 2021 Colorado Z71, I want to put a custom app onto the screen, but can't figure out how. It's called Radio Sidewinder, I have it installed on the Android phone, but don't want to handle it while I'm driving.

Just Bought a Colorado Z71, my previous 2015 Colorado LT didn't have this, so it's a little overwhelming. But my big question is, how do I set it up so when I turn the ignition the radio goes to an off station, basically squelch?

I purchase a 2021 Chevy high country 3500, the infotainment system is very user friendly. The only thing is when you first turn on the truck the radio blasts some radio station just before it identifies me as the personalized driver with key fob one or two as programmed. Even though when I last drove the truck I was listening to Sirius? Seems to happen every time. I haven’t been able to figure out a fix. Any ideas GM?

I have a 2021 Colorado and can't turn the radio off. I don't listen to the radio, but when I start the truck the radio comes on by default. If I push the power button it mutes the sound then I can't hear phone calls. If I hold the power button, it turns off the system including the phone system. I JUST WANT TO TURN THE RADIO OFF AND HAVE EVERYTHING ELSE STAY ON!!!! HOW??? Very screwed up system, IMHO.

How can we bypass the video overide?... I added a mmb and it wont let me play or touch the screen. It keeps saying you cannot watch when in drive.... annoying as ffff

When I change the EQ settings they do not save! Every time I start the truck I have to reset the EQ settings. Do you known how I can save the EQ settings?

Just bought a 2021 Sierra Elevation...your navigation button is different from mine. Mine is a 4 way arrow that takes me to onstar (that I do NOT want) how do I change that to what your video shows ? I also don't get text messages unless I'm in Android Auto. What gives ? Can I fix that ?

Where can you see the status of the WIFI connection? I can only see the status of my phone - I don't care about the phone - I can see that on the phone - I want to see the signal strength of the WIFI in the vehicle - AT&T is the worst provider so I need to be able to see the strength.

We just bought a new 2021 Silverado and no one at the dealership can tell us or figure out why we can only use our cell phone to make a call if we turn our data on. Our other 2 vehicles both GM Bluetooth work to make calls. We can receive a call and answer from the steering wheel but can't make one unless our data is on OR we use the screen so not hands free. Our cell phones are listed as compatible. Any ideas

I put a deposit down on a C8 Corvette 9 months ago was wondering Is it possible in the new C8, to disable wifi? I don't want to get into it too much but I have a sensitivity to wireless , yes I can be around wifi and all but sitting right next to a router for long periods does give me severe headaches so was hoping to disable it . I have a C5 and 2 yrs ago it was in the shop they gave me a brand new 2020 Camaro loaner car & l I was able to disable the wifi through the infotainment screen Some are telling me you may not be able to in the 2022 C8 .I really hope there is a way even if I have to go into the dash .. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated Thanks

I would strongly recommend NOT buying a Chevy with this Infotainment 3 system. Full of bugs IMO, android auto fails to connect constantly, blue tooth fails to auto-connect constantly. Navigation voice search function is useless, it has failed in every scenario, address, intersection, place of interest, then there is no way to back up a step, you must start over. I get trailer light warnings when I have no trailer. After 5 months, I'm seriously considering trading in to get away from this garbage system. Chevy has failed us on this one.
