I have the Chevy Malibu LT but has this same radio. Can I replace the radio to the 8”? So that I can adjust the volume and tracks from the steering wheel?
I have the 2019 LS chevy traverse and im having problems locating xm radio app in the radio screen it's a way i can add it to the radio. Please i sure can use the help....Thanks
Unfortunately no you can not change radio stations from the steering wheel on this particular model that includes the 7" MyLink infotainment display; this is different from the models that have the 8" MyLink infotainment screen which does allow you to control the radio stations from the wheel within the Driver Information Center. With that being said you do have the options to control your radio's volume and which saved preset station you are listening to from the steering wheel on most models. In most cases the wheel will have up and down paddles on it's back on both side, the right hand paddles adjust the volume of the radio while the ones on the left hand side control which one of your saved favorite stations you are listening to. In certain cases such as the Trax or Encore the wheel is configured a little differently in that you have your controls on the right hand front side; on the far right is your volume control and just to the left of that is a toggle that when pushed up or down switches between your saved favorites... but what there's more! If you push that toggle straight inward it will switch between your bandwidths (AM, FX, XM, Bluetooth, USB 1&2, etc.). It should however be noted that in the case of the Silverado Custom you do not have any radio control from your steering wheel.
