The 2016 Chevrolet, or Chevy Trax is a compact, almost subcompact utility vehicle that is leading the charge for General Motors. This small crossover has a functional interior and a fun-to-drive attitude that makes it appealing. We got one back in October of 2016 and the interior is absolutely stunning and it gets great gas mileage. We went up to the dealership and asked them what cars get the best gas mileage and they said the Chevy Trax. We mainly got the vehicle is because we were spending so much more money on gas for the Dodge and the Chevy Silverado. We mainly use this car for out of town trips.

If you drive a lot, buy a Diesel Cruze or Equinox. I bought the 2017 Cruze TDI and it gets between 50 and 60 MPG on the highway.

@@lasvegaslife5770 runs great . I am at 10,600 currently . I’ve done two oil changes (I go by oil percentage as I don’t drive a lot )

I own the 1.8 manual.Runs great.Cant believe you had an issue with "no volume knob".This version nice...shame Aust only gets the ass end models.

I got a 2017 at the end of 2018 & there's a HUGE difference between the 2016 & 2017, so glad I got the better vehicle. 😌

Hi Zack,I have a question about VW Tiguan. I heard that consumers in Europe and Asia can choose either to buy the standard Tiguan (made in Germany) or the long wheel base (made in Mexico). But, apparently, we in NA only get the long wheel base. Listening to your friend, Thomas, it seems that we also won't get the high HP engine or the dual-clutch transmission. Is that really the case? Or ,hopefully, we also will have the options to choose from.Thanks

Im viewing this in 2024, and the Trax has developed a timing chain problem, on many cars. thats a thousand dollar or more repair issue! and the turbo offers more get up and go! but wears out the little 4cl engine faster! buyer beware! B etter check with a trusted mechanic to see if GM improved those issues!

gas mileage of these cuvs are not close to the small cars they replace. example my Honda civic gets about 41 mpg highway this trax cuv gets only 33. that is a big drop in mileage. And this is a small sport utility mileage is worse in a regular sport utility. That is a big penalty to pay just for the privilege of sitting higher

You make a good point. I don't understand why they can't get more? Cruze 1.4L gets 41 MPG. If this is the same engine, then it should be getting perhaps 38 to 39 MPG. I don't think that this thing weighs that much more than a car.

Wear pants . I live in Cleveland and it’s cold half of the year and I manage just fine without heated seats in my basic package trax 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Remember seeing one at the Montreal auto show a couple years back and I thought, why the hell is it so pricey and so cheap inside? you can get a compact SUV (little bigger than that Sub-compact), get about the same mileage and better equipements. That one is just a jacked up Chevrolet Sonic with drum breaks..

Reliable in what? I've read that they have transmission problems. Unless you buy a stick shift, but the auto apparently isn't that reliable.

Not sure why Chevrolet wants it to look like a small SUV ? Id lower the hood and remove those bumpy square wheel wells and sure it would look like a decent car.

This car is not Daewoo. Daewoo is long gone. It's GM , and the Koreans assemble it, but they didn't develop it. This car is originally developed by Opel, not Daewoo.

You should stop doing gratuitous tilts and pans - they make no sense whatsoever, they do not reveal anything worth revealing, they do not advance your visual story, they are simply annoying. 5:21 - both hands on one side of the steering wheel? Left hand at 8 o'clock and the right hand just hanging there? Seriously?
