Erewhon is justified, if you can afford it that is. I used to work there in the cafe dept. I was lucky enough sometimes to be gifted meals from the kitchen being a supervisor. But many other items they offer for hot food is really priced outrageously.
In germany a KFC 4 piece tender menu with medium fries and soda goes for around 12 €. U think that shits outta gold or something. same with mcd, they want 3 € for a cheesburger 😂
It’s a sad reality, but rich people do not mind paying a premium to stay away from the “riff raff” (us normal people). This has been proven time and time again. And Erewhon knows that lol so they jack that shit up sky high
You are correct. They source the best of the best to create the dishes that they offer. I used to work there in the cafe dept and man the quality changed my perception of food and made me want to create delicious dishes for my family at home more often
@@bigmike1547 Their target market is shallow people, who care too much about appearance. All their items are incredibly pretty with good 👍 sounding terms like organic/gluten-free. They know how to have packaging pleasing to the eye. As for actual quality, it isn't good.
@@punishanpika I can agree with marketing for shallow people who do just care about looks. Or for the 'gram. But I disagree when you say quality isn't good. How do you know the quality isn't good? I worked there for just over 6 years, I do not anymore but I still know many chefs and managers at the location I was at. Then and now , where they source their products whether that be produce, dairy, grocery, meat, seafood or items from the cafe dept is all top tier. Literally top tier, the highest tier you could go lol. Although it was a shitty place to work, they do hold their standards significantly higher than whole foods, Bristol farms, sprouts, trader joes, lazy Acres etc
Almost 10 dollars for one bite size portion of chicken. At this point let these fast food places just keep their shit, I don't need it. Make em 100 bucks for a meal, I don't care, I'm just not going anymore and hopefully no one else is either.
I blame social media for the prices of chicken. A lot of creators are making chicken way more valuable than it is. Everywhere you turn there's someone out here trying to do some type of cooking with chicken. Whether it's wings or the whole chicken on the grill etc.
@@shophocho7798 What better way to set your money on fire? Will you be trying Howlin Ray's or Father's Office Burger soon by any chance? I'm planning to hit those up in July on my next trip in LA. I need to know if they're JUSTIFIED
Usually people who are doing something with science or people who are professional bakers/chefs who may prefers to measure ingredients through weight. Some people may buy scales to weigh their food if they’re doing strict portion control diets which is easier done in grams. It’s not like metric units don’t exist in the US, they just aren’t used for things like distance or body weight.
