Omg well done Hollie. You are amazing ❤. My best memories are of cooking with my nan so treasure this time pet. You are so lucky that your nan is such an awesome cook too. Xx.
Can you help me please? 1960's school puddings. Rock hard chocolate cake 'concrete chocolate' we used to call it served with a mint, bright green custard, sponge pudding, icing top, hundreds & thousands with yellow custard. Another pudding was also sponge with fruit, usually apples or peaches, sometimes but very rarely pineapple at its base again with custard. 3 of best school puddings ever. I can make and I do, the sponge puddings but the concrete chocolate recipe has eluded me for 55+ years. It was a sponge but it wasn't a sponge 'more like a very hard biscuit' is the only way I can describe it! Burnt corners being the best tasting! Concrete chocolate was the one you did need a fork & a spoon to eat it with. The fork to stab & hold it whilst you tried to break some off with your spoon, all whilst trying not to lose any across the table or onto the floor. The last time I ate concrete chocolate with mint custard is circa 1969/70 as when I went up to junior school, the pudding did not follow me.
Wow Holly you done amazing x after a few weeks at collage you can show nanna and granda and us your amazing stuff youve learnt and maybe call it Hollys Delights xx well done sweetheart xx
Absolutely delicious. Holly, you’ve got a talent for cooking. I am so impressed with your cookery skills, you certainly don't lack confidence in the kitchen, which is a skill to master in itself. Keep up with the cooking - you will go far ❤️
Well done Holly, you did brilliantl Looks delicious 😋 Good luck with your college course 😊 you have the best teacher there ...your nan.Look forward to more recipes from the both of you xx
Hi Amanda and lovely Holly. You have the best teacher ever with our lovely Amanda. What a great job you have done. Love to you all. Ann in Cumbria.xx ❤❤❤❤❤.
Mand, I have a granddaughter about the same age as Holly, she also loves to help me in the kitchen, but her fav is making cakes and buns, however unlike your Holly she makes such a mess; that I have to clean up as she goes. This looks lush another great recipe to add to my collection, as you know Dave only likes chicken and fish so this would be perfect love as ever Maggie xx
Holly you did really well,I hope you enjoy culinary school,I enjoyed it very much when I went. When frying make sure the oil is spread over the pan,and hot before you add whatever you are making, that way the food is less likely to stick to the pan,and wait till the bottom browns before trying to turn it,that will help you prevent sticking.Good luck in college.😊
Beautiful dish thank you mand and well done holly you are going to do so well at college with your nanna as an extra teacher 👍good luck hope you enjoy your course as much as you looked like you enjoyed cooking and tasting this lovely meal 👏Amanda xx
Congratulations Holly for being brave enough to get in front of the camera. I don’t know why you were nervous about it; you’re a beautiful young lady. Dinner looks delicious.
