Even though it looks delicious (as most of your dishes), Majboos/Makboos means that both rice and chicken must be cooked together. The word Makboos is just like Kabsa but in a different slang. The word Kabsa comes from Yakbos which means gathering things in the smallest space. Also, I think you forgot to add garlic, which is a very important ingredient. - Cinnamon must be a stick - Replacing the black lemon with a regular one will produce a SIGNIFICANTLY different flavor. - Ginger (fresh or powder) is preferred in must Kabsas/Majboos. - If you wanted to give it another try later, try creating big holes in the black lemon before throwing it in. Thank you for the video,
Thank you for such a valuable information, Shakir! We will definitely keep this in mind! Having said that, this is Chef Varun's personal take on the recipe and one can add/omit/replace the ingredients as per their preferences! Stay tuned for more! =)
I do not have the proper settings to shoot an appropriate RU-vid video. However, I will try my best to send a decent video to you at my earliest convenient.
after you posted this video i almost make this dish everyday on my friend's demand they said this is the best dish they ever had .........thank you varun
It needs garlic, and cinnamon stick. Also it should be black lemon only. it can't be substituted with regular lemon, Completely different taste and aroma.
This is Kabsa a Saudi arbian dish. Majboos is different and it's from Kuwait. In majboos the tomato is served as gravy sauce and not cooked with the rice.
What's is the difference between majboos and kabsa bro , I know the how is kabsa prepared , but don't know how majboos is prepared , and how they are different from each other and which one is spicy or non spicy Can u explain me ..
Ammm I understand that you're trying to add your touch to the recipe... But this not machboos you've changed the whole recipe.... nothing is right about it Lol
Get Curried Wowwwww now that's an awesome news..... Thank uuuuuuu sooooooo much for keeping this channel in English....... For a non veg lover like me it's a good news...... Yeaaaaaa..... Super happy now 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Garth yeah but soon they will switch over to hindi which means smoothly understanding of the recipes will be a constraint. Anyways that is a veg channel. But this one is non veg. So of course preferable
I want to say that I tried this recipe and absolutely loved it especially the touch of whole fried almonds and raisins. It cut through some of the heaviness. Also since I did not have lemon, I did not use it but I did have some oranges so I zested 2 oranges in place of whole lemon/black lemon. The taste was simply amazing. Will make this again. 👌🏼 Thanks Chef!
I am making this for dinner. I have been wanting chicken for dinner for a few days now. I will definitely tell you how me like it. Thanks. Love your videos.
