Lice and mites are common in backyard chicken flocks! It's important to check your birds regularly and treat quickly. While many of the products used in the video are considered off-label, many chicken keepers use these every day.
Treat your bird topically with a soap detergent or sevin dust if you see anything moving on your bird's skin. Treat your coop, roosts, and nesting boxes. Be sure to treat your birds a week later to kill any lice or mites that have hatched since the week before.
