Funny you mention back then "when there weren't 8 billion people". Without the guy this song is about we wouldn't be able to feed the population we have today. Which is why this song talks about the duality of him.

I would love to see you react to sabaton - en livstid i krig (a lifetime of war) live Scandinavium Gothenburg. It is the Swedish version of the song so be sure that the subtitles are on. I was at that show and all I can say is that you won’t regret it.

I love metal and Sabaton is one of my favorite bands! To your question, I actually have always loved history even growing up in school despite being bullied consistently through my schooling. I don't know if you have reacted to them yet but if you like songs like this, I would like to suggest giving a listen to Iced Earth - Gettysburg, I think it's a trilogy of songs or something like that but it brings me to tears every time I listen to it and I'm curious as to what your reaction would be! I’ve always loved history in school, my favorit along with art and gym😍. Loved your reaction to this great band, not only because their Swedish like me, but because they tell a true story and we know that because they have historians who tell them the true story❤️❤️❤️. Great reaction. Thanks for posting. Nice shirt! The only thing that sticks in my head more than ABBA, is Sabaton. If a song gets in, it doesn't leave until I'm nothing more than a faint, trembling, shadow of my former self. If Sabaton ever does an ABBA cover it will be over for me. I will spend the rest of my days rocking in a corner, humming "gimme gimme gimme...."

Look up Dan Carlin's hardcore history podcast. Lots of them are free and the ones that cost anything are cheap. He talks about tons of stuff that I have never heard or read anywhere else. His WW1 series is something like 6 4 hour episodes and was all free the last I looked.

Waow...a bit late noticing this reaction, but as always I'm enjoying listening to you and seeing your reaction to the music. I hated history in school but Sabaton has a way to tell a story and leave you with a curiosity to learn more about it, so I'm way better with history nowadays. 🤣

This is great, I’d love to go see Sabaton live but I don’t know anyone that wants to come along with me 😢 I do think they are coming to the Netherlands. Btw I always loved history ☺️
