There was going to be Multiple Chuckies (explains the blood in the Chucky Batter) but unfortunately the budget was low and was reconned in Cult. 2.The War Games was going to be a Bloodbath but decided to kill one cause of the outrage of killing kids and teens.

"The way they bring Chucky back makes no sense" Well neither does Leprechaun in his own franchise. He gets killed in each instalment and comes back with zero explanations.

I’m a fan of the Chucky films. Child’s Play 1 is 100% terrifying. Child’s Play 2 is also very effectively scary with bits of humor here and there. The series get progressively funnier which I think fits the franchise perfectly. They were always horror comedies to me. It’s all in Brad Dourif’s voice.

The rule is whoever he reveal who he really is to 1st, they are the only person he can switch bodies, Andy in the 1st and continuing the 2nd. In this one he realized he doesn't need Andy now because he has a new body, so he chooses Tyler.

That part when Tyler was staring at Chucky in the Box used to always scare me, Especially how his face went from Happy doll to Little mad man real quick 👀😨😱😅💯💯

That Chucky face screaming at the end of the opening credits gave my 9 year old self nightmares FOR WEEKS. The funhouse finale is fun, but I can agree with Mancini on why this is the series' weakest.

Correction, in the beginning of the movie, they did not put Chucky‘s old body into the batter. They were actually cleaning up the factory, and when they lifted the old carcass, the blood dripped into the new batch of plastic that made the new doll it’s in the opening sequence, they didn’t just recycle his body. They threw it away as long as he has a working body his soul will live on which is why he got melted in the first two movies and still came back point being is as long as the body is put back together his soul will Resurrect inside of it that’s why in the bride of Chucky, she put his body back together with other Doll parts loosely based on Frankenstein after the ritual he woke up because that body wasn’t just a new doll. It had pieces of his blood inside of it from his old body, just saying the first four Chucky movies actually have some logic to their rules until cult of Chucky rewrote the canon

Part 1: They said you had to kill him in the heart. (Mission was accomplished) Part 2: They kill him in the Good Guy Doll Factory (Not in the heart) Part 3: It's never explained HOW HE KEEPS COMING BACK!

I haven't seen any of the recent stuff at all, but according to the lore of the first few films, Chucky can only soul swap with the first person he revealed his identity to. Since he was "remade", he got stuck with the kid instead of his intended target.

I don't think Child's Play 3 is really THAT bad. It's not as good as Child's Play 2, but it's way better than Seed of Chucky, The 2019 Reboot & The current Chucky TV Series!

It may be bad, but it has a special place in my heart. Same goes for the 2nd one.

3 years late with this one You missed the 30th anniversary Rented it a lot on vhs My first introduction to Justin Whalin, Perrey Reeves, and Jeremy Sylvers The whole military story feels like a completely different movie and Chucky seems less competent in his m.o. Still considered by fans to be the weakest entry in the series Even Don Mancini admitted he was under pressure from Universal writing hence he didn't enjoy the final result as he felt they were out of ideas, he didn't like the casting of the supporting players either Brad Dourif also admits this is his least favorite Director Jack Bender in 2013 has completely dismissed this film Shame we wouldn't see another movie for 7 years due to the poor box office numbers The kills are still inventive, that opening credits scene is well composed and visually grotesque, and the climax is kinda exciting with everything wrapping up at a carnival This was also the first entry using computers to help Chucky doll's lip movements The military school they filmed in Missouri is closed now The movie because of several real-life murders did lead to new legislation that enforced additional age restrictions on certain video films, and was rare in the UK until it was released on DVD in 2000, by which time the controversies was largely forgotten It's not the worst one of all the movies but still could've been better @25:40😂 Only in the movie world Btw the timeline between this and the second one is actually 8 years hence the good guy factory looking desolated

In the first movie, he learns the only person he can possess is the first person to whom he revealed his biggest secret (his real name) so he was only able to possess Andy. Each time he dies and comes back, it starts over, making him only able to possess the first person he tells his real name, but he didn’t figure this out until part 3, which is why he keeps going after Andy until he meets Tyler in this film.

While The weakest of the Child's Play/Chucky franchise I appreciate that Don Mancini made Andy from this point forward a badass especially with that Post-Credit scene from Curse of Chucky. Also now that Chucky is now on the Roast Freddy's Next.
