If they would not, India would today not exist as one country. Having such a massively aggressive neighbor would have rolled the whole country over, no matter the mountains. It will be interesting the upcoming decades if India manages to catch up economically. The mountains will always give the defenders a significant advantage (I think even if AI replaces humans, however, here I am not as sure), so, if China have to focus on the massive Navy that can be kept in check by other countries, and India can focus most of its military at defending the border, India just have to Improve the economy a little bit, and they can walk right over China and force them to give back the territory (if India so desires, that is; that depends on the politicians of the future). As long as China makes such a huge claims on Taiwan, they need to not only produce, but also upkeep all those ships, and need to spend the majority of the military budget there. I therefore spontaneously say that China need about a ten time, at least, bigger economy then India to produce enough stuff to handle both fronts. And that is very unlikely to happen. Chances is higher that India catches up to China in the future. So, yea, I guess China eventually will louse in the Himalayas in the long run (as long as the sea front is kept in Check by other countries). Lets just hope USA and Japan keeps up the pressure in the South China Sea, and also expanding it to other countries. As long as they are binding up the majority of military spending there, India will win at the border in the long run.

Trump visits India and make mediocre statements 5. /china get cautious and occupies unmarked areas to protect OBOR link to kashghar The point I am making the Modi/Shah could not understand the game and got trapped and in a way landed up making statements against China which resulted in this stand lock Invariable India had no option but to put the army on active duty and economy started bleeding . @@vivekpatil3834 ...India does not have a choice but to beef up its security along LAC. The exact motives behind Chinese moves is a matter of intense debate within Indian security community and I don't see any definitive answer coming from those quarters, although your point of view has been expressed by some. China is a rising power and is flexing its muscle on multiple fronts. China has been engaging in Salami-slicing our territory and the only way to respond to them is to stand up to them. Yes, it will incur a lot of expense, but India does not have a choice. You cannot deal with a bully by acquiescence. You stand up to him. That is what the current Indian government is doing and I fully support that.....

Chinese Embassy feeds the border news to NDTV to demoralise Indian Army and the Government. Did N Ram's Hindu measured the land there? It is China feeding the false news to show the world that China is a dominant force. The Hindu spread false news against Modi Govt in purchase of Raffel fighter planes. N. Ram got a slap on his face. N.Ram is a TRAITOR SO DOES PRANOY ROY. Pakistan us also using the Hindu version in their TV discussions. Chinese Chocklet Army wants to win war with India through propaganda.
