The United States military has commissioned a new navy ship joining the Pacific fleet, from a port in California. But in the US capital, lawmakers are warning that navy and commercial ships are not being built fast enough to keep up with adversaries. The USD retains its buying power because the world keeps lending the US money by supporting the petrodollar system, and buying US debt. It's a ponzi scheme, a fugazi... The system is fake. The US creates inflation and forces other countries to buy it. The more they do, the more they devalue the dollar making the world's holdings of USD assets worth less. They can keep printing money, but whenever they do each dollar buys LESS and makes the cost of investing in new shipyards and ships much more expensive. As is, without the added expense of overhauling our military infrastructure we already print $1trillion dollars every 4 months. Who's going to finance the new shipyards? Will India buy more US debt and help us cover the $500 billion pricetag?

When a country gets worried and openly criticizes and accuses the successes of another nation, it simply shows its admittance of losing, on the global stage. The root cause of its own failure: making any progress to win in any competition requires lots of money, but instead, this country spends huge amounts of money in warmongering efforts and in actual wars, and in building and maintaining over 700 military bases around the world.

The "I can but you can't" is true, but is the other way around. The US transitioned to a service (virtual goods) based economy (things like WhatsApp, Instagram, RU-vid, Google search etc). All these things are 100% banned in China. Any other non-banned activity in China requires a 50+% joint venture with a local company. Meanwhile, physical goods from China are rightfully still allowed in the US/Europe, and any China company can do business in the West without any local joint venture. US/Europe allow alot of things, but China does not allow any equivalent activity.

This is the most advanced A2/AD integrated air/land defense system in recorded military history! This does not include CN's air and sea, surface and sub hypersonic capabilities and sub and land launched ballistic and nuclear glide vehicles that cover the Entire US and most of the world. China's Navy is the technology MOST advanced in the world, tech newer than US, offensive and defensive weapons newer with longer ranges. Superior electronic warfare and AI autonomous air and sea drone capabilities including several test drone aircraft carriers. Satellite Aperture Radar looking down on planes and ships eliminating all stealth characteristics. One of the biggest issues the us has is a fear of friendly neighbors helping with things like shipbuilding and steel. Japan and Soith Korea arent having any problems being competitive in shipbuilding and steel, because they both use heavily modernized, automated, and robotized strategies with excellent industrial engineering to back it... Still, when Nippon wanted to buy and modernize US steel, it was rejected. When South Korea and Japan wanted to help modernize US shipbuilding, the US refused. There is a role for protectionism in some cases, but definitely not in all cases. At this point it reminds me of the knee jerk reactionary protectionism of WW2.

@MASMIWA 3 месяца назад
The American politician said China had 5500 naval ships to US 200, a total lie. Currently China has 355 ships, the US 301. However, in tonnage, the US leads because it has 11 nuclear carriers vs China's 3 non-nuclear carriers. Having said that, in Congressional testimony, at any one time, the US has only 75 ships that are combat capable, the rest need refitting, maintenance, or replacement. What scares the US navy is that China will have 450 ships in this decade and the US at most 390. China's navy is focused on the indo-pacific oceans and the US is spread worldwide. Regarding shipbuilding, South Korea and Japan are strong in ship building and some European countries likewise. The Philippines has a large naval base in Subic, but its shipbuilding capabilities are close to nil. Taiwan has a limited ship building capability, but nothing approaching China's carrier capabilities. The US has one yard capable of super carriers and a second if improved. A congressional report said that China had 14 naval shipyards vs US 4. China does have two yards capable of super-sized carriers and we will see that when China builds carriers 004 and 005. China also has one yard capable of upwards of 6 submarine builds. Bottom line: If the US needs more yards, it needs to spend the funds not only in physical facilities, but the training of yard workers to competently build naval ships. If as the Japanese professor suggested, the US could take advantage of Japanese and South Korean naval shipyards with classified equipment contracted to US suppliers. Instead of wasting money on $13 billion super carriers, the US navy is rethinking its fleet composition with more smaller ships because drones and missiles are becoming the main features of modern warfare. China already has that composition and its increase in numbers is focused on destroyers, frigates, corvettes, and submarines. BTW, even Russia is thinking of buying warships from China. There are media reports that Russia may buy a frigate from China and try it on for size.

What is not addressed here is the quality of the crews. Unfortunately, the US Navy has noticeably declined in this respect in recent years.

The design and, probably, the cost, portray the decline of what was the largest and most powerful navy in the world. A crude adaptation of a large commercial vessel for military purposes. How far has it come? They seem to have in mind that if it is sunk, as it probably will be, the damage will be much less. A beautiful example of how the country's military budget is doing. This type of adapted vessel will really see a lot of action on the bottom of the sea

Didn’t President Kennedy said “A country is only as strong outside as it is inside”. The USA wants to be the only Superpower, but great power comes great responsibility. Also being a great superpower comes greater financial responsibility.

U$A: A strong military can safeguard its interests China: Learn from U$A If U$A can safeguard its interests without consequences then any country with the capability can and will follow in the footsteps of the US. Wealth(GDP) needs to be protect with relative military. A rich family can employ relative amount of security guard to protect his wealth, but when his poor neighbor work very very hard to get rich but not allow to employ relative amount of security guard to protect his wealth? 😢 8 wolf came to eat up China when it was rich. After WWII no wolf pack want to visit poor China. Now China is rich again , the wolf pack return..... Furthermore, the wolf pack is already at door step.

World most powerful nation now is china USA is no more no,1 USA is now only no,3 after Russia because china and Russia have the most powerful hypersonic icbm but USA doesn’t have yet and other matters china has more than 4 million soldiers and Russia has 2.5 million soldiers but USA has not more than 6 hundred thousands soldiers so can you say USA is most powerful country in the world, that is totally false.
