Chinese fairing kit review for Suzuki RG500

For the Suzuki RG500 Facebook group members who are interested in Chinese aftermarket fairings. These fairings are available from Ebay at around £460.00 including express shipping from China.
They take a couple of weeks to build, then the company sent photos of the finished product for approval and then they ship, taking another couple of weeks.
The products are well packed and good for the money.
They are slightly thinner in material and can be more difficult to fit, but all in all, they are a good replacement.
This video shows a Suzuki RG500 Skoal bandit version that comes with Tank cover, all fairing panels and rear panels., including belly pan. The kit does not include fixings or heat shielding.

I have an immaculate 4800 mile ZX12R and the body work is superb.. and to keep the bodywork in this condition I ordered a full fairing set from MFS in China, and the quality is very good.. I am genuinely surprised. The paint is good, the stickers are lacquered over. Just some flashing to remove from some of the mounting holes.. I have a few bikes, so now I can relax when moving the bike around or riding it.. if it gets scratched or chipped, I won’t stress 😊 The oem bodywork I have bubble wrapped and stored👍🏼

I think my supplier wasn't the best quality. It is OK but slightly thin and they did make a mistake with the stickers. But as you say. It's fine as a second set.

Thank you for sharing , I‘ve seen it in the net and I thought about to buy one. That video gives me a better view to the parts than pictures !! You wrote that you also have the parts on your red-black Gamma. Are you satisfied with that ? Visually it looks great!!

I'd summarise by saying it is weak plastic and they are OK for the money but certainly far from perfect. Things don't quite line up but rather than £2000 for a genuine set, or whatever the price is now. I'm happy to buy several of these and make do. I've used the kit since 2022. I few bits have had minor breaks but, as you say still looks ok. Long term, maybe go original but for me I'll use and when it looks too rough, I'll just get another made.

Certainly do the job and no stress. I'm hoping to chop the side panels down, make it look less slabby and more modern. 👍

If you look at any video of my bike with the red / black version and belly pan, that's all Chinese

I bought a set for my rg500. It took almost 2 months to get.They painted it the wrong color,then blamed me for it. 2 parts were cracked,and The mount the turn signal mounts to was glued on in the wrong place,and the holes for the windscreen were drilled in the wrong place. They said They would replace the cracked parts, took 2 months to get. The replaced parts didn't match the other blue body.. they said the front cowl was ok because of a 2% deviation is acceptable . They won't reply to me anymore so now I have a bodt Have a set that the color doesn't match and a front fairing that can't be used. Its made of cheesy plastic thats all glued together. Not recommend.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I certainly can't disagree that it is a gamble. Mine is ok but far from perfect.
