hey everyone, welcome/Welcome back to my channel! this time me and my friend tried South Indian food for the first time! AND we ordered our food according to my subscribers's comments! (Chicken Biryani, Masala Dosa, Idli, Rasmalai)
If 80% of customers were Indians, then they definitely made food according to Indian spicy level 😅 Indian spices are not about chillies only. Btw I think that Biryani was hyderabadi biryani...the spiciest version. You could have just mix yoghurt with it, to balance the spiciness. Keep a cooling drink like lassi, or soda. It cools down the stomach if the food is spicy. That's why in Indian course meal, sweets are eaten always at the end. Because again, it cools down our stomach 😅
🔹🔹Lily, thanks for trying them. I never thought those would be that spicy 🥵 in Australia 😂. Next time you might consider cooking some Indian food maybe with ur friend, that would be fun to watch😀. I'm sorry for all the nagative comments u got on ur previous video 😊 I luv all ur videos 🩷 a lot.....
hahahah I think maybe I'm just not too good with handling spice😂. Sure, thanks for the recommendations Dhiraj! and don't worry about the negative comments, I'm ignoring them all 😉😉
@@lilyYonlyY I'm the same. The key is accepting that n always asking for the lowest spice level possible. Most places do make "less spice" versions for kids
South Indian foods mostly uses pepper so they are more spicy. Indian food is different depending on the region. East Indian food will have different dishes. Bengali dishes are unique.
Just some corrections, -> Those are not sauces with Idli, those are dips. you were trying to touch the sauce with Idli and eat it which is wrong way, You need to dip the Idli in sambhar to get the authentic taste. -> We dont eat the biryani like this, if the biryani rice is spicy, we pour some spoons of raita (yogurt) to sooth the spiciness. -> Also the round crisp thing you got with biryani is the side-dish that you could break down and sprinkle on the biryani to give it a crunchy texture.
ANYTHING PREPARED ON FIRE........IS A BURNED, DUPLICATE, UNNATURAL, DISEASE GENERATING, ( DEAD ) FOOD ! REMEMBER THIS FOR THE LIFE TIME. NEXT TIME WHEN YOU DINE.....WATCH, WHEATHER FOOD IS DEAD OR LIVE !!!🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
you gotta dip into those chutneys based on the spice level, like dunk it completely in sambar or just touch it a tiny bit with tomato pickle typa chutney. If you feel very spicy in ur mouth, eat the blank idli to calm it down
I lived in Goa I approve. South Indian food is on another level to North Indian which is more prevalent in the West.. Dishes from Goa and Kerala are defined by chillies, coconut, vinegar and rice..मैं तुमसे प्यार करता हूँ भारत क्योंकि तुम बहुत खूबसूरत हो ;-)
So RU-vid recommended this video first. After watching it I looked up the one from a month ago with Butter Chicken.. In the first video the waitress asked how do you like your spices high medium or low. You replied I am fine with spices.. Lol. 😅😂😊 Good content keep posting. Love from 🇮🇳
Me too. You can also try dhokla, dal wada, samosa, kachori, dabeli, panipuri, dahipuri, shewpuri, aloo puri, mahad khuda and bhakar, bundi, kanda pohe, dal chawal, paratha. Thank you. I'm from vadodara, gujrat, bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
IN THAT HOTEL.......EACH & EVERYTHING WAS PREPARED ON FIRE ! WHOLE FOOD WAS DEAD, BURNED, DUPLICATE, UNNATURAL, DISEASE GENERATING.......EQUAL TO COAL VELUE !!! BIOLOGICAL BODY ONLY NEEDS LIVE FOOD !!! REMEMBER THIS MESSAGE FROM A PUNJABI INDIAN. THIS IS IN YOUR & YOUR FAMILY WELFARE .......!!!🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Indians might be the best at spicy food, our digestive systems are accustomed to it, so it doesn’t faze us..also the Biriyani rice is served with the yogurt so that it can cut the spice by mixing it in rice.
But you gals have Chli oil dish which also have to good zspicy? That not rice in condensed milk it a type cheese from milk and boiled milk high heat till it get thick
Absolutely worst suggestion for Asians taste bud. Its like saying Indians should drink Soya milk after eating weired Chinese meat dish. The best suggestion is find authentic but palatable food items in other culture like Uttapam, Pulav in this case.
Tbh idli is not eaten with fork ,we mainly mince the idli & use sambar with it to eat ,that brings out the real flavour rather than just dipping it & eating it .
Indian food is way more spicier than Chinese food. I tried Chinese food when I was in China. My Chinese friends dared me to try the dish they thought I would cry because of spice but it the food was very bland for me😊
But the same person should be informed as well as non jingoistic. Making western and Asian people eat things like Pani Puri or Gulab jamun, without knowing their taste bud, and just because one like the same things, will have high chance of disaster
As a Tamizhan I can tell you, eating with cutlery is absolutely blasphemous. It's part of the experience to eat with your hands especially with the food on a banana leaf
Next time always order a lassi alongside when you feel there is so much spicy or ask them to give you a simple coconut milk juice. Which will be super white liquid and you can pour it on any dish which is too spicy and it instantly cuts the spice levels to 3 or 0. So you can use it like dipping coconut milk sauce kind and eat with more tasteful and happy🙂 It's a South Indian trick to cut the spice level. Lassi is for North Indian way to cut spice levels. Coconut milk is more South Indian style. Even in South we have Lassi kind but its different like that raita.
Now i understand that chaines government is completely opposite of chaines people what they think.i hope chainese people get indipendent from government
DON'T understand🤔 your view and word" DESCENT" .Any one expects TASTE 🤤in any HOTEL or RESTAURANT. But "DESCENT" a little CONFUSING😮💨. But you BOTH are so ADORABLE 😍💜..
Pongal is not much popular in overseas southern restaurant and such was not available in this restaurant also. But they had variety of vegetable Pulav which most probably have liked by these girls
If you said North Indian and South Indian food are spicy Habibi come and try Northeast India food you won't eat any single amount of food it's super hot spicy
These ppl dont know the combination of eating the food and time - just they want to taste a bit and give review !! 1)Biryani - morning 5am - lunch & dinner 2) Idli + vada or Dosae (sambar /chutney ) - morning bteakfast & evening snak+ coffee/tea 3) Roties and curries - lunch & Dinner
You probably only tried like the more popular dishes. Southerners have a lot of spicy varities. Guntur chilli is exported all across India. Andhra people have the most spiciest food other than the north east who have the infamous bhoot jholokia (ghost pepper).
My sad story of south India:- i know my mom has never been to south Indian but she is really gifted with cooking so she cooks amazing south Indian food ..but i wanted to have authentic south Indian food when we were in kerala but since we were with our relatives and their demon kids were so much noisy (their family had the max members but they were so cheap to spend a penny ) so we ended not having many south Indian dishes ( i didnt want to have just dhosa , idli but something really authentic)but ..at the end we had to satisfy our tummy with hyderabadi biryani (veg)...😭😭😭BUT I WANTED TO EAT MY SOUTHU INDIAN TASYU FOODU ❤
I am wondering if idli and chutney would taste more delicious if you ate with your fingers! Finger lickin delicious as long as your hands are washed clean before consuming food.
The Idli concept has gone from India to China ,when chinese scholars came to south India over thousand years before. Indian taste buds are one of the most developed in terms of differentiating tastes . So if the dessert (type of Cottage cheese) tasted like Idli than the taste buds need more practice to differentiate the two. Continu exploring and try not to stereotype spicy with India ,if it was not worth labeling it as spicy. Anyways there 8 different kinds of biriyanis from 8 different regions of India ,depends from which regions recepy they have used ,as some biriyanis are not spicy .
There is no concept of idly in China almost anywhere. BTW these poor girls selected menu on recommendations of ignorant / jingoistic viewers which is worse among it. I checked the menu of this hotel, I find almost everything from starter to desert that's tolerable and most likely likable to these girls. Alas nobody guided them properly. I am commenting this on my experience from friend sister in law who is Korean - Chinese heritage. Many of Chinese specially from middle and south may like particular Indian food like tanduri chicken and other but not all specially extreme taste one, in particular spicy. In short, its informed and non jingoistic viewers responsibility to counter uninformed / jingoistic viewers to guide other people properly to have good experience and not allow stereotype Indian food as spicy, given Indian food is so vast even harly any Indian also know about it completely.
Whenever you order Indian food look for dishes with 'Sahi', 'Makhani', 'Kurma' like Sahi Paneee, Sahi Murg Biriyani, Chicken Kurma, Chiken Makhani; they are non spicy. And next time try Pulao (Navaratna, Kashmiri, Veg) with curry (Malai kofta, Navaratna kurma, Sahi chiken curry, sahi paneer)
Dude it's 'Shahi' and not 'Sahi'. Moreover they went to try South Indian cuisine. You are suggesting North Indian dishes when their objective was to try south Indian food. 😢
I guess you are American Chinese. The Chinese in China never like Indian dessert, they find it too sweet, so much so that it gives them a headache. For some reason they dont think icecream is too sweet though, they also cant explain that.
I'd love to see u try Rogan Josh,Butter garlic naan,Kathi rolls, Hyderabadi keema,Nihari Gosht, Tandoori lambs,Poora hah, Chicken chettinad,Goan prawn curry, etc if u can find it there
Least spicy food?😂😂 South India is most spiciest food than north. Yeah we have milder version as well as some mild food items doesn't mean we have less spicy 😂. Our vegetarian option less spicy but non vegetarian foods are way too spicy. That's why you can see briyani is super spicy than dosa or idli. You need to try non veg option then speak which is most spiciest one.
Miss Lily, Don't just go by comments and response in selection of food videos. Have some informed person as adviser in the friend circle. Most of South Indian food may give satisfaction of adventure people and people in nearby part of India apart from Afrika. Its kind of like Cantonese food with niche appeal. Its not widely popularised North Indian Punjabi food which normal people in west in people can eat, like popular Chinese General Tso, Kung Bao Chicken. If you have consulted non jingoistic but informed Indian in this case, he would have suggested you Onion Tomato Uttapam, Idly, Upama with coconut chutney apart from pongal if its available and shira as desert, which would have high percentage of good experience for you two as well as viewers
I just check the menu of this hotel itself. It turns out all the food I recommended was in this hotel menu except Pongal. But various types of pulav that's tolerable to you people were present. Also shira was mentioned as kesari in menu.
All good. But seeing them eat Masala dosa and Idli with spoon is offending me slightly, as a South Indian. 😅 Indian food tastes better when eaten with hands.
@@saurabhade1079 Welcome to "world" my friend. 😆 Also from your comment I came to know that Koreans were waiting for my one comment in RU-vid to use as fuel to start their hate train.🤔
Rasmallai is not authentic what you had...try it out in a north indian restaurant....and the best biryani is called Hyderabadi biryani of all and its not spicy at all...
Next time while trying any Indian food please take an Indian born person with you, not an immigrant person please. He might be able to direct you the right way of ordering the food and eating it.
That's mostly from only Sichuan province, one of thirty Chinese province. Many Indians have little knowledge about China, just as many western foreigners about India
what kind of waitress she is, she can't even tell how to eat biryani with yogurt and papad. btw Biryani is not south indian. Yogurt has to be with Biryani to negate spicyness and papad u can eat with the rice but not with yogurt
