Plant of the week: variegated jasmine, tricolor/tricolour star jasmine, Chinese Star Jasmine variegated, Trachelospermum jasminoides Tricolour . A beautiful climbing or ground covering plant that has small fragrant pinkish-white flowers and with new growth that emerges hot pink and turns to white splashed on green
Compact, and low growing, it performs in a container or hanging basket as well as in its more familiar territory, as a ground cover for foliage contrast. This variety spreads 1 to 2 meters.

lol luv the humor! The garden bed lots great. These plants are Beautiful! Trying to find these tricolors but my local nursery doesn't sell them, only the Chinese star jasmine. The Chinese star jasmine are beautiful as well.

Wow! There will be snakes around and still you are moving all this foliage. I must admit you are brave gardener. ( : In our cold climate we only have three native species of snakes. Grass and Adder snakes are common. Smooth snakes are very rare and can only be found in sandy heathlands of United Kingdom. Fabulous video as always.

Hi Greg! Thanks for this very informative video. I have a low hedge of this in front of my front fence, and am wanting to grow it up and across the front of my carport. Will this one do that, like a regular star jasmine, or does it not have the vertical... let's say ability of the star jasmine? Cheers!

Hi Greg, wondering if the Tricolour Jasmine would tolerate a severe prune? We have it growing in our front garden for 10+ years now and I have been thinking it could benefit from a good cut back. Cheers.

I've not seen jasmine plants very often, but it looks really nice. My old mans dad had a lavender 'hedge' 60ft long 3 to 4 foot high (depending on the season) growing alongside his driveway. The scent from it was amazing and my granny constantly had bottles of lavender water on the go and little lavender bags in, ahem, strategic rooms. But it's an amazing plant. Maybe you could do a video talking about it once the blooming season arrives. Blooming right!

***** 'Twas ineed a strong feature of the place. The old folks passed on years ago and the house was sold, but I make a point of driving by if I ever go through the area, (once ever 5 yrs or so) And the lavender was still there 3 yrs ago.

Lovely update Greg would that why work with any low type of hedge just look for the little roots at the bottom never seem that done before

I hate spiders >.< woulda poked it with a stick or waited for it to leave. Thing looked huge lol. Good tips tho, my moms been trying to regrow cuttings but couldnt.
