@@BugsyFoga If TLI were involved in the writing, the jokes would actually be sharp and funny, instead of just the same tired metahumor, cynicism, and references that haven't been new since Rocky & Bullwinkle and Scooby Doo did them _literally twenty years ago._

@@MichaelSnipes I loved how it was for kids but it wasn't patronizing. Likewise, it had adult humor but wasn't vulgar. It was the best combination of actual "family" entertainment and highly creative.

@@FFmaxxx yes, exactly! Cartoon network (and nickelodeon) really had choice shows at one point. I still love regular show and for the time it aired, I'm legit at how much they got away with... but I loved it lol.

I’m glad that someone mentioned that animated series, it’s literally one of my favorites from Cartoon Network and it’s definitely sharing that self awareness that Gumball did. ☺️

@@z-beeblebrox I believe that is the case yes. Funny enough the actual novel this movie was "based" off of was some kind of messed up fever dream and the author liked the movie so much he decided his novel was a nightmare that Jessica Rabbit had and made the movie canon instead.

Same here. I haven't watch much of Rescue Rangers, but I do know of them. There are a couple of things in the trailers I hope they will answer in the movie.

The Pink Panther's snout (or maybe Snaglepuss) and Rocky's hat/goggles are in there too.

Also Rocky the Flying Squirrel's hat, the Mad Hatter's hat, and the Pink Panther's face. XD

I’d like to see the 2 Pumbaa’s meet each other. Also Pumbaa being there at all reminds me of the wacky Timon & Pumbaa cartoon which was nothing like Lion King.

accept Roger rabbit is a classic all time film and this will be forgotten in a month

@@jlassh in fairness, Roger Rabbit came out in a time where it stands out more. This movie may not stand out but at the very least being similar to one that does is reassuring of a possibly fun experience to those interested in the movie.

This is the THIRD Kingdom Hearts Reference this time in a Disney Movie! THIS YEAR! First one was Mickey's Keyblade in Mickey Mouse's Disney + Show 's summer special, second was The Proud Family's sequel and NOW CHIP AND DALE WITH SORA'S KEYBLADE! This has to confirm something with that rumored Disney + project with Kingdom Hearts is in the works, we've never seen Disney reference the hell out of KH like this before and I love it!

There's also an old 2D movie called The Chipmunk Adventure! It might not have aged especially well, various stereotypes plus a somewhat questionable snake sequence involving the girls, but it's a fun musical romp where the kids are trying to out-do one another by handing off dolls of themselves in different drop-off points, it's basically around the World in 80 Days with the Chipmunks and Chipettes, until they realize that some international criminals tricked them into joining a smuggling ring. I haven't seen it in years, it might be worse than I remember, but if you've never seen it before and you're thinking of rewatching the 3D movies anyway, why not give it a chance? The animation was pretty good, especially for some of the song and dance sequences. And the "harem" outfits had the sparkles on the gauzy bits which were beautiful lol I wished I had them for that reason when I was a kid. I don't think it dawned on me that the Chipettes were being exploited for eye-candy because I hadn't seen Jasmine's green and red outfits yet for comparison. You should be able to find it on RU-vid; none of the streaming sites have it from my google check and I don't think anyone is too fussed about it as a money-maker. Oh and with that in mind, if you've never seen the Thief and the Cobbler Recobbled, maybe give that a shot too! A few different RU-vid channels have the whole movie (technically it's a Director's Cut.) Make sure it's the Recobbled version. Some of the scenes are only storyboards but it's miles above the official release which was awful. Talking about the outfits made me think of Princess Yum Yum, hence the recommendation. If Vincent Price as a rhyming villain doesn't sell you on it, well, it's not the movie for you, I guess. 😂 And yes, it's really old, the movie was in production for so long that a lot of elements inspired Disney's Aladdin. Some stunning animation scattered through-out and also some adult jokes. I don't know if you're an animation buff so maybe it will underwhelm you but it's very unique. If you just want more singing rodents, I recommend the much shorter The Devil and Daniel Mouse, which you can also find on RU-vid in its entirety. It's pretty different but very well-made so I hope you'd enjoy it. And of course, if you have Disney Plus, you could also try watching more of the original Rescue Rangers series, the Rescue Rangers to the Rescue episodes 1-5 (originally a single movie premiere that showed how the team got together, for some reason placed in Season 2), The Case of the Cola Cult, and Gadget Goes Hawaiian are some I'd recommend off the top of my head, but other episodes could be nice background noise. lol Not trying to dissuade you from seeing those 3D movies again but if you decide that you aren't in the mood for them and you want some options, these could all be worthwhile. And whatever you decide, I'll leave you alone now! 😸

Out of work toon and just went down hill from there. I mean the whole thing is that the Rangers are not a thing anymore and washed up. So Peter Pan could be same way.

@@DrawciaGleam02 Yeah, I greatly preferred the first Rat Capone episode "Mind Your Cheese and Qs". He is a great villain, but there were other characters far more deserving of a second appearance like Sewernose De Bergerac.
