The orchestra was very good, i think Chloe and her inspiration gives the orchestra one extra level. Maybe two levels. It was the pure essence of romantic music. Good job.
Don’t say that ! You’re doing great 😊! You never know how much potential you have ! DO NOT give up , anyone can be like Chloe if you want to practice and put effort :)
Surely, this is just out as near to perfection as it's posible to get. The unhurried timing, just hanging on to some notes for a fraction of a secomd before smoothly going on to the next shos an interpretation of the music way beyond her years. Like so many others. this performance brings tears to my eyes every time I watch . I'm left with a comforting feeling that the world hasn't quite gone totally mad -- Not yet. ---- Oh -- And that smile. --- Beautiful, just beautiful.
This composition reminds me huge luxury ocean cruise ship dreaming in the night in the safe waters of the harbor. The only difference is that in real life the trusty captains of the mega luxury ships tends not to be 12 years old girls. But Chloe is an exception from the rule. She is musically gifted beyond any imagination .
Miss Chloe Chua, I have an suggestion that when you play violin, you could use an earplug in your left ear to prevent the audibility loss. The shape of your ears collect se well the sound of violin and the left ear expose an very high sound level.
MjAcapellaVersion so yes, she isn’t a world class soloist, but what is she? What exactly defines a world class soloist? I’m a sort of plebeian. Educate me, please!
@@168vfk World class means world class :) Best of the best. You are playing with great conductors, orchestras, you have albums, your interpretation and techniqe is awesome, mature and uniqe. She is awesome, but we will see in the future, her interptretations, skills and more... It takes years of consistent work to become world class, soloist. It isnt possible when you are 11.
Chloe is playing the piece that my father loved to play on his violin more than 50 years ago before he passed away. I dont play violin, and the violin has been left in an unplayable state for more than 50 years now. Chloe plays this piece infinitely better than my father did. However, now I consider to restore his violin just to honor his memory.Thank you Chloe for playing this beatiful piece.
From the first note to the last.....simply exudes pure emotion and connection to the music piece. Such maturity and interpretation of the music shows that Chloe will only get better. She has won a lifetime fan in me! (And to twoset as well for opening my eyes to this musical wonder!)
That has to be the greatest interpretation of 'meditation from thais' to date, and it's only a rehearsal, performed by a 12yo. That speaks a lot about her talent, musicality and skill level
Im started the learning violin 5 months ago. And my life view is completely changed. If you have idea like "too late, i can't learn an insturement now" pls don't do that guys. Just buy a violin or piano whatever you want and just start right now Because life has much more meaning with music. (Btw sorry about my english, im not native)
After 20 years of playing piano I developed perfect pitch. I suspect it has to do something with the fact that I started to play violin. Now I'm able to recognize a violin player with and without perfect pitch. Chloe Chua has very fine perfect pitch. If you want to know what I hear, the orchestra sounds as a "cloud" of tones roughly between a=438-440 Hz. They are not consistent and they slightly change tuning during the composition. People without perfect pitch do so. Chloe keeps playing at 438 Hz since the first note, no matter what orchestra is doing. Only musicians with perfect pitch are able to play like this. Listen to it again and again. Chloe's first tone is slightly lower then orchestra. Can you hear it ?
Oh, thank you! How do you learn violin -- with a tutor or by yourself? I want to learn how to play violin, but I don't have the discipline... My daughter has a 1/4 size violin with nobody to teach her. :-(
Massenet Meditation recently become one of the favourite on my playlist. Chloe's version is seriously the most smoothing and touching one that i've ever heard. I watched many other violinists playing this but either they play too fast or not as emotional as this. Maxim Vengerov 's rendition is also very good which i have listened to it many times. I really love both Chloe and Vengerov's rendition. Interpretations are different but both sound so good that i can listen to it for the whole day.
This deceptively simple piece is the litmus test for identifying a great musician who plays the violin. The opening passage must float into the room on a breeze. Chloe Chua shows how.
She makes everything seem so easy and effortless, but it is not, even for her. I can't imagine the countless hours of grind she puts into her work to appear to be so "effortless" in performance. She has the potential to be #1 in the world when she matures, and seems to be being managed correctly to avoid burnout for now. I hope, that is, at least what we can tell from an outsider perspective
Absolutely wonderful Chloe! If you was 60 years old with a life of Violin practise behind you, we'd all still be amazed how you play, let alone how old you are now. It's. wonderful to see how happy and friendly you seem in Interviews too - What an amazing future lies ahead of you! I hope you're healthy and well.
I’m not sure whether this is by accident or by design, but my playlist is set up so that Chloe first plays the Wagner Romanz and then she plays this. It is without a doubt the most sublime, most soothing 10 minutes of music I’ve ever experienced. I often have to watch them twice. Chloe’s playing is so wonderfully calming that I close my eyes, but then I remember how graceful she is as she moves with the music, so I have to watch her the second time. I have to go pet my cat now…
I honestly don’t understand, there are sooo many horrible videos on the net with millions or even billions of views, and this masterpiece, this elegant playing, that touches every single cell in your body, has only 17.900 views?? I wish I had a stronger RU-vid channel so I could promote this...
Although Vengerov's 2006 performance with NDK Sofia is a vast improvement on the performance he gave (a decade, I think) earlier with Essener Philharmonic, he still doesn't enter the realm of the transcendent with the natural grace that Chloe exudes here. Experience is _so_ over-rated. Innocence rules! (Of course, unmatched musicality helps too🙂)
It's so nice to see you choosing to play these relatively simple pieces so beautifully and musically, instead of choosing a much harder technical piece to show off (which you can totally nail with no problem). Major props to you for staying humble!
I've just discovered your videos, because of TwoSet, haha. You bring so much life to these pieces. Such a joy. Reminds me of YoYo Ma. I've always felt like I'm seeing something much more when I watched him. I get a similar feeling watching you play. Thanks so much for uploading videos. I'll be following your career and hope to see you play some day when you tour near a city I'm in. All The Best!
@@fn_main Yes, perhaps. Whatever the explanation though, the fact is that it is easier to appreciate how extraordinarily good Chloe is - absolutely, or in comparison with others - if one listens in the dark or with eyes closed, so as to better aid one's focus on the pure sound.
very good - !!!!!!!!! ♫~❤ Ms. Kuroe chua, Hello from Japan. Your violin playing is amazing. I don't think I'm 13 years old. Anyway, the musical tone will make many people around the world happy. Please continue to devote yourself. If you have a chance, please come to Japan. I'm looking forward to it.
Beautiful 🥰 I often found this piece 'boring' cause of how many times I've heard it but this is just amazing, she breathes such emotion into the playing and makes it look so effortless. ❤️❤️❤️ (How could anyone dislike this?)!
Me: AHHHHH SHE TOO BRIGHT me: i am in the presence of a godess!!!!!!! i play violin too and i have been since i was 4 but nothing compares to her!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness they way she shiftsssssss ahhhhh i cant take it!!!!!
