I was on a random cooking channel before and like literally all of his recipes had been remade by buzzfeed, even ones that David has made and gave credit to buzzfeed for.
Yeah, they stole Jackson Bird's "Will it Waffle?" idea. He had been doing it forever before Buzzfeed EVER did anything like that. And to the person that said that Buzzfeed never steals anything, I'd just like to say that that's complete bullshit and just because "Oh wow, no they actually changed the ingredients, they didn't steal it how could you even suggest omg..." THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY DIDN'T STEAL IT, ALL THEY DID WAS CHANGE A FEW THINGS AND WHAT, THAT MAGICALLY MAKES IT THEIR IDEA?? Wtf are you on, mate? Do you even hear how stupid that sounds?
Jackson Birds really didn't make the idea "Will it Waffle." If you look at BuzzFeed there is one link that tells you "A Blog of Waffle Iron Recipies." That article was created at 2011, but when Jackson Birds did it was at 2014. Soo this means that BuzzFeed gave credit to the guy that had the first idea, and Jackson Birds stole the idea but just named it "Will it Waffle."
Plus BuzzFeed nevered said it was their idea. "Christine Byrne" was the one that posted the "Pumpkin Spice Latte Banana Bread." All staffs can make their own article. If Buzzfeed did wanted to make their own ingredients they would've of made a video on their channel.
What confuses me is why you would waste so much time to whip the egg whites then end up beating all the air you just put in right back out, instead of folding them in???
Don't they get a lot of negativity for not crediting people. I think you have right to be upset because the recipes were not originally theirs to begin with.
The difference is EVERY video you use a buzzfeed recipe you give credit and you bring them views too your fans check out all their other recipes to suggest them to you they should give credit where credit is due they stole your idea and took it as their own in no way is that right or justified
Not to say that Buzzfeed was right, if they really did copy him (I mean it's fall and they did make some banana bread recipes too and are devoted Pumpkin spice fans), but it would be kinda hard to sue them since there was no copyright involved as far as I know. So it shouldn't be illegal. Not very respectful, yeah. But not illegal either.
See, the difference is that you test out their recipes to see if they're edible, that way some of us don't have to waste time or money to just TRY and see if the recipe works. I wish they had given you credit, though. We made your bread and it was delicious, but we added in a biiiiiit more of the PSL!
To make them light try adding 2tbsp of sugar to the whipped egg whites once stiff peaks occur and whip until the sugar dissolves and instead of adding the egg whites to the white ingedients mix the dry and wet minus the egg whites then fold half in roughly and half in gently.
BuzzFeed videos are made a lot of time in advance, if their video was posted two days after David's one most likely it was filmed a lot of time prior to David's video, so maybe it was not "copied". Not trying to be rude, I love David, I'm just stating some points.
I'm laughing so hard right now because he uses the same baking powder as I do at home! 😂 I thought I was the only want to use that kind of brand for baking.
Someone's probably said this already but to make them lighter - when you mix the egg whites into the mixture, fold them in instead of whisking. Folding is when you take a spatula and verrrrry carefully kind cut through the middle of the mixture, then scoop from the bottom over the top of the whites. Keep doing it till they're mixed in, but only just! Also I think it would be much better if you folded the whites in right at the end instead of in the middle of the recipe ... The point is that every time you mix them with other ingredients, even with a whisk, you're knocking all the air out of them so you try and handle them as little as possible. In most recipes you fold them in at the last possible moment. That might work!
The difference between you and Buzzfeed is that you credit your sources. You have every right to be mad and I honestly don't understand how people can be so chilled about this.
Wow that's pretty sad that buzzfeed stole your idea as theirs but this is a great episode it maybe had come out better than theirs but good job! Can you please make the Fried Strawberry Shortcake Pops please thanks and your channel is AWESOME!!! (With no exaggeration) keep on being awesome
My mouth is filled with water... (Do you sometimes wonder too how you can randomly forget that you commented on something and than be surprised to stumble upon your own comment? It's like 'Did I write that? Can't remember a thing!'.)
i make home made pancakes all the time one tip is just crack the eggs and milk into a bowl and whip it up until it becomes frothy then and the rest of the dry ingredients then stir , this makes the pancakes a lot more fluffy
Woah no idea how I ended up here love fast food its late and I was just watching Delta Parole Music Videos and now I am here and getting hungry for this. Time to eat after I watch. lel
You deserve all the credit in the world, you are super creative and the world deserves to know! It sucks that buzzfeed did that, they have already made their mark on this world, they need to let others do the same. I wish you the best, and hopefully karma kicks buzzfeed's ass.
maybe with fresh strawberries, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Could have been a great recipe for crêpes too, it might have needed to be thinner, filled with a mixture of cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar, rolled up, then drizzled with the ganache and fresh sliced berries of choice!!!
