Ken Wapnick talked a lot about the massive resistance we all have and the importance of mind training to slowly undo the lies, revealing what was there all along hidden in plain sight.... "Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God." With all that said, I'm a work in progress!

You want to see everything as the same. "Good things" and "joy" to the ego are just less awful than other things. It is in the Holy Spirit's unification of purpose that everything is the same and is holy, the same holiness everywhere and, in the absence of judgement, the quiet dimension of Being, the Changelessness you are, makes itself known in everything and everyone.

@pedrogonzales9202 bills get paid or don't. It has no effect on the Peace the Beingness you are in the Holy Spirit. The body gets crucified or it doesn't. It has no effect on the Peace of the Beingness you are in the Holy Spirit. When the mind is still, and not jumping all over the place with guilt and fear, the Intelligence of Spirit operates in the Stillness instead of the cunningness of the ego in the noise. There is a spontaneous response to appearances that is the most loving, helpful and most effective action for everyone concerned with the situation and there is no investment in it for peace. That is already established by being in your right mind instead of the wrong mind. The response is born of this Peace and not an attempt to establish it through a future event in time.

@@acimwithkeith Your first paragraph is very potent. It’s not what I wanted to hear but now I get it. You are saying that recognition of beingness/ oneness IS and appearance plays out as it plays out. What do you mean - “… there is no investment in it for peace”?

@pedrogonzales9202 a wrong minded decision is an attempt to find peace through magic - it says the cause of lack of peace is in the world and my salvation is a future event in the world that restores peace to me. The cause is in the world and the solution is in the world. This is "seek and do not find" until death and no lasting happiness. The world is never the cause of my lack of peace. There is no cause in the world and not even cause and effect in the world. It is purely an effect and cannot cause you peace or non-peace. Only what you're doing with your mind restores you to the Peace that is an innate quality of what you are or seems to take you away from it by identification as a body and an insane voice talking to itself. "I can be hurt by nothing but my thoughts"

@sharon258 YES! Good spot! The thinking mind interprets the Stillness of Being in you as death and will try to scare you away from the Silence where the memory of God is in your mind. This is the "outside ring of fear". "Yet God can bring you there, if you are willing to follow the Holy Spirit through seeming terror, trusting Him not to abandon you and leave you there. For it is not His purpose to frighten you, but only yours. You are severely tempted to abandon Him at the outside ring of fear, but He would lead you safely through and far beyond." If you sit in the middle of that fear without telling yourself stories about it, without thoughts about it, with no judgement of it or projection of meaning onto it, you will break through it to the Stillness beyond it and see through the illusion of identity. This is an awakening. The fear doesn't last that long - forgiveness of it for 5 to 10 minutes can take you through it. Work up to that forgiveness of the fear if necessary. Approach it fresh every day. You are not your thoughts. You have misperceived yourself. You are Pure Beingness and that identity is restored to you on the other side of "the outer ring of fear".
