Awesome video and great tips. I can't wait to get my rod in the mail and start this amazing almost forgotten fishing technique that our ancestors did years ago.
I own an IWANA 12' and a SATO (extendable 11'-12'-13'), both are amazing, very delicate castings, soft tip as needed but a lot of backbone on a nice 15" brown. My favorite is the SATO for its versatility but I prefer the action of the IWANA, compared to the SATO at the 12' length. Daniel, I think you should make exactly the same video with the recent rods. Fabrice, from France.
I have the shortest, lightest version and it's awesome for the tiny streams in mt baldy, ca. With the tight spots due to heavy cover, it's possible to use and avoid snags in the trees and brush.
Hi, I have been wanting to try Tenkara and I have heard of two different styles the american style and the Japanese style of Tenkara fishing what is the difference? are they two different rods or is it the way you fish it? and besides that i am super exited to try Tenkara fishing!
Its not listed, or covered by Daniel in this video so I'm assuming it has been introduced since this video was uploaded. Does anyone know what the Rhodo is rated at?

Hi Francis, we just attended the show in Denver and are scheduled for the show in New Jersey at the end of January. But, we have cut back a bit on the number of shows we are doing this year to focus on other projects. We do also have our big event, the Tenkara Summit, coming up on July 27th in Boulder, CO. And, keep in mind that if you want to try any rods you can always return them for a full refund within 60 days.
I have been using this technique for many years in Britain ,, using coarse fishing poles !! PS , a little tip for anyone , buying these tenkara rods ,, take off the butt screw ,, and super glue some foam to the inside ,, this way , it stop s each section wearing down and not fitting properly due to erosion on the joints on the butt screw !!
buy one of these www.cabelas.com/product/BNM-BREAMBUSTER-PANFISH-POLE/2397402.uts?searchPath=%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FcategoryId%3D734095080%26CQ_search%3Dfishing%2Bpoles
Did you ACTUALLY design these or are you just a representative ? Meaning you didn't ACTUALLY design these , but are just informing others and selling these to other people .
