Coulda (shoulda?) raked it back a hair 1st. Now rake the steering column down to lower the wheel for a more comfortable seating/driving position. Nice period rod. Good eye and follow thru.😊

Nice car , Mike ! That has come a long way , the right way , from a pile of parts , to this . If this was the original intention of those who came before you , then I have to say , Iron Trap Garage nailed it . This is a beautiful car , given a chance , to be a car again . Not just any car , either . Not too many Cabriolets out there anymore , & certainly not as many as the hard tops . Nice Job , Matt ! Solid chop !

One thing is missing from all this . Standing in front of the car when you “chop” the windshield, the corners should be slightly rounded off some what. I realize it is a lot more work aligning up the cut as you mentioned. But it flows the shape of the front end in my opinion a heck of a lot better than a choppy square window up front. It still can be adjusted for a rag top.

Nice to see you guys helping out Mike towards getting his hot rod nearer to completion. Why not just knock it out to the point where it just needs paint? Seems to have been a long dragged out project. That's fine on other projects but Mike is your friend and employee and you can see the thankful look on his face any time you are willing to help him. Just devote a week to his car and get it done?

We’re also letting Mike do some of the work himself. It’s the time honored tradition of building a car. Easy to say “it took too long” sitting on your recliner watching. Take notice of how much we have going with the business and channel. This stuff takes time when juggling “life”.

I don't know what Pa. inspection laws are now, but chopped windshields were only allowed to be nine inches tall to be legal years ago.

The cabriolet is smoking with the windshield chop. More to do so its drivable this summer. One to two months for early summer.

Top corners should have a small radius IMHO Lots of Curves on the Cabriolet. Looks like a a cactus in a bed of roses. Please for forgive me but it needs a frame that looks more like the trim on the Ardun. "To Each His Own" & I'm With Mike with whatever he chooses.

That’s how a cabriolet windshield is. We wanted to still retain the cabriolet features like that. Otherwise we might as well put a closer car windshield header/surround on it.

@@starionslider2116 "Planned obsolescence" has been around longer than my 76 years! It is not a trend. It is the way most manufacturers have done business all along. Engineer things so they barely work from the factory, then price repair parts so high it is cheaper to buy new!
