That's one example - one example in which both Malone and Payton were already washed up, 28 year old role players would have been a much better fit, same goes for Byron Russell and Rick Fox who were out of their prime whereas ALL the key players of Detroit were in their prime. This Lakers team was just names, there was no chemistry or fit for positions. Andrew Williams you can never ignore the others in tough series. Shane Battier & Mike Miller & Ray Allen were game changers for the Heat. LeBron didn't win it on his own. Andre Igoudala & Sean Livingston etc from GS those guys they really pulled their weight in 2015. You should listen to Shaq who stated it's the others that win you those championships. Benches are more important than you think. Having fresh bodies to throw in who can give you s bucket & keep the offense going is important. For example when OKC starting 5 rests they can't compete & that will come back to bite them in the playoffs. GS has a good bench though.
