Kevin Durant's fingers are still warm from going at Barkley, who was simply telling it like it is. The Nets paid him max dollars in a year when they knew he wouldn't play, when they weren't even sure that he would be the same player when he returned. They took Kyrie to appease him. He is the one who wanted Kyrie in the first place. And, he's the one who wanted Harden. And now, he wants out.

One thing I would love for KD to do is come out and explain WTH happen. Ky just opted in and you ask for a trade. I personally don’t believe Irving was staying there and they were trying to get a way for him( Kyrie) to be traded hence the kd trade demand, but it’s more to this story.

People don't TRULY understand why people value Michael Jordan so high and why they consider him the G.O.A.T. Jordan was a true competitor and showman. Yes, a regular Tuesday night game against the Orlando Magic in January can seem meaningless. But if the Magic had beat the Bulls the last time they met, Jordan was gonna drop 45 that night. And he did this time and time again. Jordan had to be beaten. And even then, he went out swinging. He didn't quit. You NEVER questioned whether he quit or not. You never questioned how much he wanted it. Something you can't say for LeBron. Jordan didn't flop to get calls, shy away from late game free throws, complain and whine about the obstacles in front of him. He just played. KD is constantly arguing his legacy on social media because he feels it's a little empty. But he doesn't understand that there's nothing he could ever SAY to change that... you just have to win KD. I think a simple new rule that would eliminate this players leaving their teams while not affecting their money would be to implement this: Teams can't trade a player on a max or super max deal or at least for the first 75% of the contract. So on a 4 year deal you can trade after 3 years and on a 5 year you can trade after 4 years. This would eliminate players trying to leave after signing max deals and encourage them to play out their deals. Also, you can through in some exceptions in cases of injuries or other extraordinary events so teams aren't stuck and can't move someone. With this players keep their money and teams don't have to worry about players leaving during their max or super max deals

Harden leaving the Nets was the last straw for KD. Kyrie needed to opt in to secure his bag because his days in the NBA is numbered. Kyrie been sabotaging the Nets from day one with his negative energy. KD should of stayed with GS, they would of protected him and allowed him to focus on basketball.

there is no way brooklyn will be a serious team in the east no matter what realistic trade they get. Teams aren't going to give up there only star player and all their depth for 1 guy because no matter how good they are 1 player in today's nba isn't enough to seriously contend. And also teams can't really trade superstars to where they don't want to be. Like its legally and technically possible but there is no precedence for anything like that ever happening.

I think KD was hoping kyrie opted out so he could say “well kyrie Is gone there is no point of me staying because I wanted to play with him” but kyrie opted in now he’s stuck looking like the bad buy.
