If most of these other quarterback's had to go through what Tua has been through they probably would have broke already. Through Tua's entire career he has been trashed by coaches, fans, media, other players and still making progress. Everyone keeps comparing him to all these other quarterbacks but none of them are the same. The disrespect for this kid is overboard and I can't wait for him to prove the haters wrong once again. What's the next obstacle they will throw at him.

It sounds like a lot of people are saying Tua isn’t a franchise QB. The things they are saying sound definitive, so why even bother signing him at all? If people weren’t so full of it, they wouldn’t be saying sign him for 40 to 50 mil…. They would be saying we need to trade Tua and then go find our franchise QB.

Tua's superpower is getting people to believe that he is more than a game manager. His ceiling is Alex Smith and that is at best. It is fact that he needs a superstar roster to compete and he does not elevate his teammates and essentially needs to be carried by his team. His fans go on about his stats against terrible teams and blame everyone else but Tua for his faults. The fact is that he is demanding to be the highest paid qb and yet cannot deliver a playoff victory or even lead the Dolphins against a winning team. He will go down as the worst draft pick in Dolphins history due to the fact that he was drafted so high, cannot play in cold weather, cannot win against a winning team, cannot win a playoff game, and a playoff roster was wasted on him. Another thing is this, if Tua were a free agent, what team would want him? He has to play in warm weather or a dome and has to have a superstar roster. Possible teams would be Arizona, Dallas, Atlanta, Minnesota, Detroit, Seattle, and I will throw in Carolina and the NY Giants. Arizona, Dallas, and Detroit will not take Tua over what they have and Atlanta and Minnesota just drafted qbs. Possibly Seattle but Tua's only advantage is age over Geno Smith. Carolina can't give up on Young due to the price that they paid for him and the Giants play in cold weather. Tua's only option is Miami and without McDaniel's, Tua is a backup qb at best who throws for 90 yards a game. Grier needs to be fired because he has failed this team and is a terrible drafter. Every team should be drafting a qb to groom every other draft and Grier refuses to do so and he also reaches for the bulk of his players.

It's funny that a lot of people always side with ownership. If I'm Tua, they can smd, I'm not taking less. Lawrence and Herbert have accomplished the same thing Tua has.

QB market is out of whack. I wouldn’t pay him more than $50 million a year. Just because these other GM’s paid guys $52+ doesn’t mean the Fins have to. Tua is nice but he’s not nice enough to be paid more than any other QB in the league. He needs to beat some elite teams and win a playoff game.

They didn’t build the O-line to protect him…they have a makeshift O-line that gets exposed against good teams…the dolphins put a lot of money on other positions besides their O-line…a lot of the O-line flaws are hidden due to Tua’s quick release…but when a defense can press with less and cover all passing lanes…that’s when the O-line gets exposed…Tua has to hold on to the ball longer than he has to and either results in a bad play…especially when they run the ball on first and second down putting Tua in 3rd and long

40 million a year may not be a huge deal today for an NFL QB but that’s a ton of money especially considering he couldn’t be in a better situation and he will always be a high injury concern. Like 5 years 200 million with probably 140 guaranteed, you gotta take that deal. If he didn’t have the injury concern I might say do what Dak and Kirk did but he’s too much of an injury concern because of the concussions.
