Yep. They let that man return to his seat unscathed, win and collect his Oscar, say his weirdo speech and have a good night.¨ That´s another slap in the face to Chris Rock. Let them have their second choice who should also turn it down too.
@@TyyTheFlyGuy And he waited a full year. Let folks start to forget. Will thinks it's getting cool, done did his BS apologies....then bang Front Page again.
The only thing he destroyed was his moral high ground. The first few minutes were quite funny, but then it turned into a total shit show of a hate speech and you could tell by his body language and the expression in his eyes that he really meant it. If he had given that speech a day, a few weeks or even a few months after the slap in an interview then I would’ve been totally fine with it, but not in the context of a comedy special, this was supposed to be funny and it just wasn’t. Also, he had an entire YEAR to come up with something funny and this was the best he could do? Pathetic, really. He stooped down to the same level as Will’s totally uncalled for and unjustified slap and I’ve lost a lot of respect for Chris. No wonder Netflix took it down after the deserved backlash!
Words sometimes have consequences, if you lack personal rapport with some individuals your adverse commentary will get you F#@k'ed up. Chris now understands this simple fact of life.
I'm glad that Chris took his time to talk about this. It would have been so easy to do an immediate thing, like every other comedian's tweets. This hits harder.
he should have kept his mouth shut. btch ass didnt do sht when it mattered, now cry about it years later like a sissy pussy. i would have respected if he kept his mouth shut. but to open it so much later to talk like hes the man. id slap his sorry ass too. pathetic
@@bobloerakker7010 No chance, the incident happened a year ago and everyone has moved on. If Rogan had him on, the only real question would be "Why did it take you so long to respond?".
A real man is a man who protects his wife and children. I'm sure will smith wouldn't mind if he was made fun of, but like a real man, he didn't allow his wife and children to be made fun of. I think it's an honorable thing to do. Chris rock got what he deserved.
@@nesetans6252 Oh good grief. Not even Will Smith -- you know, the raging toxic asshat who resorted to physical violence against a much smaller man on national television for making a tame joke -- agrees with you. Chris Rock handled himself with grace and dignity, and as a result his brand has never been higher. Meanwhile Smith's career is over. So in a way you're right about one thing: Chris got what he deserved.
@@nesetans6252 You're a dumbass. This isn't some fairytale life, they are Hollywood folks that know they are all on the firing line come Oscar time. Like Chris said, that was some bitch ass shit.
Rock has been exemplary in every aspect of how he has handled his self *and* the situation. His final move: Say nothing until I get paid for it on my Netflix special, and then never speak of it again. That is a master class move on every level of how to be a proper human being in this faaked up world.
You’re right, until he did this comedy special and instead of sticking to comedy he decided to give up his moral high ground and stoop down to the low class level of Will’s slap and went on this hate tirade of which he meant every single word. Plus, he had an entire year to come up with something funny and this was the best he could do? Pathetic really!
Rock makes a good point when he says..."and who does he hit? Me..." You know damn well if the other rock, Duane Johnson was the host that night, will Smith was staying seated and laughing at all of Mr Johnson's jokes.
Honestly Chris killed it with this. He framed it perfectly as Will getting angry after being publicly humiliated for years and taking advantage of a man he knew couldn't retaliate because of how it would look. Hilarious as hell. Another Will Smith L 🤣🤣
I honestly wouldn't have known about Jezebel Pinkett and what happened if it weren't for the slap. Fortunately, the whole word knows Will Smith is an unwilling cuck because he took out his aggression on a smaller man.
Chris went IN on this special. You can hear and feel his frustration with what happened but just like right after the slap, he’s handling it with class.
dude got bitch slapped in front of the world and did nothing about it - thats what we call a bitch in our country, you can't do that to another man and get away with it no matter how many jokes he does about it, it wont change the fact he got humiliated in front of everyone. If will smith was in that audience again, you bet your ass he wouldn't joke about it.
He’s not really handling it with class - he handling it smart to be sure. Saying nothing then cashing in on a big special - that’s smart. Class would’ve been never discussing it in public at all.
Listen... the pen is indeed mightier than the sword. Chris Rock deserved to say everything he said, and the Smith's deserved to hear every word. The Netflix special was awesome, and Chris delivered in true Rock fashion.
"Selective outrage" is the perfect term for what Will Smith did to Rock. It's almost exactly like a term I've had for years, "situational ethics." Anyway, I admire Chris for not only taking that slap like Pacquiao, but for not giving into the BS of kissing and making up.
Selective outrage is the exact term. Will laughed at the joke. Then Jada looked at him the he got up. That was a choice and a decision. That's not an emotional response, it's a selected one. Just like Chris says "he practices this for a living." Wills an actor by trade lol afterwards the only people you saw not really talking about it were actors.
Will Smith didn't get mad at his wife cheating on him at The Red Table with his sons best friend but got mad over her discuss over a joke about her going bald is selective anger he needs to go get mental health treatment both are bad but come on now man you face to face with your wife and she tells you that she cheated on you with your own son best friend but you didn't even turn The Red Table over but you slapped Chris Rock over a hair joke
Chris is such a professional that even when he got emotional and flubbed the joke about Emancipation, he acknowledged it and then continued on. The man was, is and always will be a pro. It was a live show and the pressure was on. These things happen. He probably hasn't performed this material yet. Most comedians practice their stuff at live shows before they actually film a show for Netflix. I don't think Chris had a chance to do that. This is probably the first time he's performed this in front of a large audience. So I'll give him a pass because everything else was so good and the material itself was so good. I love how he just kept saying how everyone called him and bitch, and he kept saying it over and over. So he was calling Will a bitch without actually calling him a bitch - until the end, when he said what Will did was a bitch move. He laid out his evidence before actually making his argument. That must have been really therapeutic for him. You guys should react to his after show interview that he did on his RU-vid channel. I think he did it from his garage. I assume it was his because there was a Mercedes in there.
@@samatics4 exactly what I was thinking, this motherfucker on the internet gave a professional funny person a pass. I think this random person the internet should be given a pass for being funny themselves. In fact, I give him the pass to be called a funny person
Chris played the long game, got out what needed to be said, and walked away with a bag north of 40 million dollars. It's perfect timing because the Oscars are right around the corner and he needed to get this out before all the jokes come up at the Oscars. Good on Rock.
Hey guys! Been waiting on this reaction. I was surprised to open up Netflix and saw Chris Rock was live, I had no idea. Watch the whole thing. Man is a Legend!!
I've always been a huge fan of both. Will lost all the immense respect I had for him and Chris gained even more respect from me. Chris is not only one of the best comedians ever, but also one of the classiest men in Hollywood.
@@HTHAMMACK1 I'm sure Will would appreciate you sticking up for him if he even knew you existed. Lmao what a clown you are to feel the need to defend a multi-millionaire celebrity over an opinion from an anonymous youtube commenter.
I admire Chris so much, he is brilliant, he waited one year and release this video a week before the Oscar where he was humiliated by Smith. This is a man with class, he was slap in front of the World and he was finish the job he was there to do. He didn't sue the Oscar or Will, nothing. This is bigger than anything he could do, he is a decent, wonderful professional.
Ever since I saw clips of Chris Rock's new special was out on RU-vid, I was waiting on pins and needles to see you two guys reactions. Frank and Rondo are BY FAR THE BEST REACTERS OUT THERE! BAR NONE!
I don't think the younger generation appreciates how big Chris Rock was in the 90s and how influential he was as one of the few famous black comedians. I see him as the step between Eddie and Dave Chappelle.
Few famous black STARS. There wernt many black stars period. There was only like 3 black comedy legends through the 90s. He was one of the 3. Will slapped a friend, colleague and a fan, for his BITCH of a wife. If Will would've slapped his wife, he wouldn't have lost a single fan. Fucking, I never thought I'd see the day a master simp would exist but wtf, will smith...then everyone applauded him after he won an Oscar. Bruh...
Chris Rock has always been one of the more honest and down to earth people in Hollywood, telling it like it is no matter how tough it might be to hear. That was hysterical. He's been practicing those jokes all year at shows leading up to this special, that's why he's talking about the smack still.
no one mentions the recovery on the concussion slip-up. Giving away the punchline with the wrong setup, admitting it, then bringing the joke back to huge laughs by tossing some improv in. True veteran comic there.
For real, I mentioned this to my wife about Jada interviewing him about the cheating. I was just like, "Why would they do that? Why would anyone do that? They're successful so they're smart. So why would they post that interview?" And my wife was like, "An abuser would post that. She abuses him." That's sad. One of the biggest movie stars in the world, and he's being put down by someone who should love him. Sad
The moment I saw that those were my EXACT thought. Literally in that order. I was flabbergasted. My gf at the time just shook her head and I was in disgust but she wasn't disgusted nor in disbelief like I was. She said something along the same lines as your wife. Since then Jada has become the most hated women in my book. Such a piece of shit. Will does NOT seem like the kind of man this is supposed to happen to. Maybe behind closed doors, whatever. But on the INTERNET! Then he STAYED. Write whatever number on a check and do not contact me. Know what, keep it. I can make movies.
maybe he really loves his wife, or it doesn't matter if it's a wife, is it really funny to make fun of someone's illness? As far as I know, Will Smith's wife has short hair for a reason. If he was making fun of Will Smith, I'm sure Will Smith wouldn't even care.chris rock did the cheap one, and it paid off. Maybe he did it because he loved his wife, maybe just because he was upset. Or they had a prenuptial agreement and I don't know because he was afraid of it.🤔but that man did what was honorable in his own way.
@@nesetans6252 it's not really an illness tho. She messed up her hair because she wore weaves and chemicals on her hair too often so she cut it off. Her hair's still growing she just chose to go bald. She would have a bald spot if it was an actual illness but she didn't.
This was so great. And the beauty of it - Will can't even clap back at this point unless he wants to put this back in everyone's memory, in which case he will look like an asshole. But, above all else, it was good stand up. Wouldn't expect less from the man.
Suge Smith… I have “Summertime” ringing in my ears 😂😂😂 that was vintage Chris Rock. Y’all notice we didn’t hear anything from August? 😂😂😂 it may be March, but wait until August 😂😂😂
The real problem with WS is that he wasn't even gonna do shit until he looked at Jada and she wasn't having it. I think he even laughed at the initial joke!
As shitty and sad of a situation as it is, I hope Wills mental healthy can sustain and if he has any GOOD people in his life will help him get away from her. His bald headed husband is a pos.
@@vanhattfield8292 no he didn't, cause they both mentioned recently about Jada's attempt to get him fired from the Oscars. Her media team commented about it.
If you havent watched the special, ya'll have to. The whole thing is brilliant. He only gave Will the last 10 mins of the show. Big ups! He did it with class, and so comical. P.S. Jimmy Kimmel is hosting this year!
Hilarious reaction as always. I just did a similar one of the same clip, but it finished the joke. It cut off in your clip before he finished that joke. "She says me, a fuckin' grown ass man, to quit his job. Because her husband didn't get nominated for Concussion...." the punchline was: "and then he goes and gives me a concussion." I'm watching the special in clips also. Always enjoy watching with you fellas. Thanks for that!
As a white boy forced to witness this black on black violence - it brings me back to Ali - Foreman '74 in Kinshasa. Chris Rock Bomaye! Chris Rock Bomaye! Chris Rock Bomaye!
@@vanhattfield8292 Yeah but the "Actually" in the comment implies that sharks are not fish themselves. Your use of "Which" immediately after "Sharks" also implies he played the shark, rather than the fish. See what I did there? To be fair, he played a shark in real life pretty well.
Chris Rock said what thousands if not millions said after The Oscars. Will Smith was humiliated by Jada for years and Chris Rock was his selective outrage target. Will wouldn't have slapped anyone else especially if that anyone else was, say, The Rock. Or any big man that could whip his ass. Great reactions!
What ugly words for another man and his wife. On stage, in front of millions of people, a man makes fun of another man's wife, and the man who defends his wife is found guilty? I think he did what a real man should do, and defended his wife, the mother of his children. In my culture it's called real manhood.
@@nesetans6252 a real man? Maybe if he'd been totally innocent. This "real man" let his wife parade around with her son's friend and flaunt it for everyone to see. And didn't try to hide it. Yes, any real man will defend their wives but a real man also wouldn't have let themselves be put in that position to begin with. In my culture, you practice what you preach. Will Smith might have been right in defending Jada but anyone at that Oscars are subject to jokes. If the Smith family don't have a sense of humor, they don't need to go out in public at an awards show where a comic is hosting. Also, in my culture, you don't start drama with someone on live freaking television over a damn joke.
I was looking for a video that wouldn't be chopped up bullshit before I watched the full special. Just couldn't wait to see this part. Scrolled though and immediately clicked when I saw yall
Omg you troll chads keeping wanting to make everything partisan and I don't even know what you guys ever mean by woke on a leftist Your narrative bias is annoying and unnecessary ...be normal ...Chris rock killed and let's celebrate it with out turning everything in to a culture war.
