I fought for this country back in 2013 in Afghanistan and when Chris started singing I absolutely lost it. I couldn’t hold back the tears thinking about the men I lost and what we went through. War knows nothing of race, religion or creed. We all bleed red and we all fight for each other.
Thank You for you’re selfless service to our Amazing Country!!! And thank you’re family for their sacrifice as well. Much Love & Respect from Ft. Bragg North Carolina coming from a military spouse whose husband spent 15 months in Iraq from 05-06 with the 82nd Airborne, 473-Cav. LOVE y’all warriors! ❤️🤟🏻🇺🇸
Chris Stapleton made history by being the first one in history to be the first one to make people "FEEL" the Nation Anthem. I did not see people standing rigid with their hands on their hearts. They were swaying, hooting, cheering and crying! I have never seen anything like it! Truly amazing!!
agreed. No politics. No social message. Just belting it out and EVERYONE felt it. Everyone I know that doesnt even like country music said it was the best one they had ever heard.
Nah, Whitney did it first. I love this version too tho and felt this reaction video was disrespectful. You don't have to respect it, but don't disrespect it. Say this as a Native American woman, not that I should have to say that but, you know.
My husband was a Vietnam combat vet…a machine gun tank gunner. He was exposed to agent Orange and now has cancer. He said that this was the rawest, most real, best rendition of the National Anthem he has ever heard at a Super Bowl. God bless Chris Stapleton and God Bless all of our veterans and active military…and thank you so much for your service. This is no laughing matter. Whether you supported Vietnam war or not, these men were drafted! They stepped up, witnessed atrocities and served our nation with courage.
My husband was also a Vietnam War veteran, exposed to Agent Orange, and got cancer. Sadly, he lost that battle last March. I miss him so very much. I will pray for your husband. God bless your husband, and all of the Vietnam veterans. After so many years, they are receiving the RESPECT that they deserve.
I served in The Marine Corps so it means a lot to me when I hear the Anthem. As a person of color, I hope and pray that the song can reach ALL of us and not just 1 group of people
Sadly, the Democrats and the radical Left media Must Divide us to get/steal power. Something evil has happened to my Democratic Party. God Bless America 🇺🇸
I agree. Its sad to see what they've done to us. If we're busy fighting ourselves we won't turn our gaze upon them. If we make it through this, they'll get theirs.
Yeah idk why he’s saying that, millions of people saw it live. There is also cell phone videos in the stands of the entire anthem and everything we saw was on tv was on the jumbo tron. Coach was crying in real time to Chris Stapleton’s absolute masterpiece of a the National Anthem
He did a phenomenal job singing the national anthem. Doesn't matter race, religion, political beliefs, nothing. If his version didn't make you proud to be an American, I don't know what will.
Beautiful rendition of our National Anthem! Chris gave it his own soulful spin and had millions crying. Whitney Houston, when she sang it?? Oh my gosh! God was singing through her, and billions of people had shivers, no matter what country you lived in! Great reaction!
I love when the national anthem is sung slow enough to dwell on the story. So many focus on hitting notes. I think our national anthem is the only country's anthem which tells a story. I think the story is beautiful, too.
Jimi Hendrix also did a rendition of this at Woodstock, with a guitar only. Both his and Chris’s versions are amazing, and truly show the potential of their talent & creativity. There’s no way to actually describe feeling American, but the wave of emotion just listening to Chris’s rendition pretty much sums it up.
This man's voice is a gift from God!! He's voice and music is beyond words!!!! This was beautiful! Right on Cartier family!!! Love your channel guys!!!! Keep on rocking!!! More Eric Clapton please!!!!!
@@andrewjackson6763 I did, I thought it was very beautiful! However I did hear everyone talking about the 2nd anthem which I absolutely don’t agree with them doing that we should have one anthem and that’s it, when did they do that? I didn’t watch the 2nd half of the game
This is the most fantastic country ever. I know we would all come together to fight for our freedom. It was nearly impossible not to get allergies when you heard Chris singing.
When I heard Chris sing I stood up the whole time with my hand on my heart crying it was so beautiful he sang so peacefully so patriotically it was beautiful God-bless my fellow Americans🇺🇲💪🙏
Huh? I thought that was the only thing all of America agreed upon- that the Whitney Houston was the standard for now and always because it was perfect.
They save the National Anthem until right before the game starts. Chris Stapleton nailed it~! When he sings he pours his whole heart and soul into it.. I loved it... Babyface sang "America The Beautiful" before Chris sang. Babyface did a nice job too. 😊
Jimi Hendrix did National Anthem with guitar I think 🤔 I'm British and Chris Stapleton's performance gave me chills in a good way. What a great voice he has.
@@KJones-qs7ju nope, it's simply undeniably true. I didn't say anything bad about Whitney or hee performance it was amazing, but it was only a visual performance, not a live singing one. Whitney's is my favorite and the undeniable standard beater for a traditionally sung version, but I find Chris's far more unique and simply better. But to each their own, cheers
This was the only performance I got to see before I went to bed, my bf was trying to sleep and typically he tells me turn stuff down in bed lol but he let me play this one!! 😌 Chris Stapleton is like classic America 🇺🇸 with his Fender guitar 🎸 and all.
If you met Chris Stapleton, you would have no idea that he’s famous. He’s the guy who would stop and change an old lady’s flat tire, no joke. He’s really just that humble. Fame hasn’t affected him at all. In his mind, he’s just an ordinary guy and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
This was the best live Super bowl national anthem to date. Whitney's version was iconic, but keep in mind it was pre-recorded and she sang into a dead mic during the actual Super bowl.
You act as if Whitney had anything to prove. The mics back then wasn’t as good with the cold & wind so most national anthems were pre recorded. We all know she could’ve sung that song live if she wanted to & probably would’ve sounded even better. It’s a reason her national anthem actually charted
@@vmlksm9 STOP making excuses for her! She was great, but Stapleton blew her song out of the water ten fold!!! You know it too which is why you’re coming up with ridiculous excuses as to why she wasn’t as good as Stapleton! Whitney took the L on this one, just accept it!
Even with Whitney pre recording her song.. I don’t think anyone could ever match chris Stapleton and his guitar bringing that much emotion to everyone’s soul and body
Although I'm Canadian I actually wept with his performance. His rendition should be played on every TV and radio station several times a day. If this doesn't wake-up Americans to what America truly is then nothing will.
Unfortunately, I don’t think many know the true meaning of the lyrics. I feel as if there are people who want to erase the entire idea of America and what it supposed to stand for. Some people have been taught to hate America, and it’s sad because I’m sure there are countless others who would be truly appreciative and more deserving to take their place. I think they’re trying to destroy the hope that America gives to the rest of the world. You have Turdo(misspelled purposefully), so I’m sure you understand where I’m coming from.
What made me cry listening to Chris Stapleton sing was that the players and the audience was respectful, contemplative, and appreciative for the words and meaning of the National Anthem.
Probably the best National Anthem ever sung. He felt it!! Even better he made the players and the everyone there feel it!! He made grown men cry. He made me cry!!
Chris made a lot of people proud to be American again! Thank you for setting things into perspective for some of those doubters. I have ALWAYS been proud to be an American, but you took my American pride over the top tonight! Thanks Chris!!!
Chris Stapleton singing The National Anthem was Amazing and made me cry and feel all the emotions of all the Men and Women who lost their lives and Families who have sons daughters aunts uncles etc. in active duty, or retired the sacrifice that they made to keep us free and my grandfather and multiple family members have served in the military I salute their sacrifice for keeping our country safe
I'm an Aussie & I have to say that was Beautiful!!!💯 That's How national anthems should be Sung💯💪☝️👌👍 and All Woman Flyover Nice Touch whole production was a Class Act😎
I swear this man can make me listen to any song he sing, be it one from his album or him introducing his crew before he sang .... He id truly build different.
It’s not the performance that is bringing people to tears it’s the words of the song and it’s deeply patriotic meaning. God bless this country and thank you to our service men!
Between Chris's soulful and respectful rendition of our national anthem and the incredible all-women flyover, I lost it. Sad my Eagles lost but proud of them, too.
Personally, I think they were crying just from the realization of being in the Super Bowl and the Anthem too. Lots of emotions going on during this. I long for the day when all people in our country love one another and get along. I think so many are quick to judge when we don't know what other people are going through. Life can be tough, but by the Grace of God we will get through it.
I could listen to it a million times love love love it! Whether you had your hand over your heart while he sang The National Anthem or not you still felt your heart beating some extra beats with that awesome tribute! ❤🇺🇸
