@@JBLETHALTV listen to his first single "what are you listening to". Which somehow didnt perform in 2013 and his record was cancelled as a result. 5 years later it seems inconceivable that such a thing could happen.
Y'ALL ARE NOT JUST JOKING. THIS IS ALL THAT AND MORE......SPRINKLE A LITTLE STEVIE RAY VAUGHN, RONNIE VAN ZANT, AND MUDDY WATERS INTO THAT AWESOME BUNCH. Just incredible.
Yup. I feel you. Chris Stapleton isn’t just country, it’s beyond that. It’s such a deep blues vibe he’s singing straight from his soul. I feel those runs all the way to my toes! I love when he and his wife sing together, their harmonies are fire.
I am primary a metal fan... But there is some serious vocal talent in country music and I can enjoy a well done country song. Chris Stapleton is a great vocalist. The thing with country is subject matter. Some of it just doesn't appeal to me, but sometimes they find a subject that can resonate and I will love it. Chris Stapleton being such a powerful vocalist, can draw me in easily.
Country radio today puts a horrible idea of what people think country really is... Its a shame... I can list you 10-15 bands/singers just off the top of my head that knock it out that get zero radio play...
You're reaction of not knowing what to say said it all. Being speechless is part of having your mind blown. CHRIS STAPLETON touched your heart and soul as he did mine and countless others. There are very FEW singers with that kind power. There are even fewer singers that can bring you to tears. Call what he has a gift, call it power, call it talent, call it soul, call it whatever you want because I don't know what to call it, all I know is that it's there. Even If I had the greatest command of the English language and if I knew all the words in "Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary, Deluxe Second Edition," I still might not be able to describe my feelings and emotions after listening to him sing "Sometimes I Cry." Sometimes you just have to moan. The word "great" has been an overly used word in the music industry, however, in the truest definition of the word, he is a great singer and musician. CHRIS STAPLETON is an analog man in a digital world, but digitized music is another topic at another time. Uncle Le😎
I have to add. Chris has been in the industry for years and years writing songs. At this set he played some that he wrote. He thanks Kenny chesney for making one #1. He said I bought my house with it Lol. So someone FINALLY realized Chris is a phenomenon...putting it simply. He's always had long hair, bread. He is what he is. He's true to himself. That's so awesomely cool to me
There are tons of country artist out there. Music has a soul a heartbeat and some artist have it. Chris Stapleton songs have soul you can feel it touches you as if it was a person.
It's OK, baby - - - you can have a man-crush on Chris Stapleton - - - no one is going to judge. What's not to love??? His ability to transfer so much emotion and passion in his music . . . it's almost exhausting and overwhelming . . . but I just can't get enough. Enjoy your reactions.
Totally agree with what you are saying. I discovered Chris by accident after looking up Tennessee wisky. I was blown away and just missed his concert here. I really hope to see him live soon.
Chris Stapleton is to country what Ronnie James Dio was to rock. His soul is in his voice, and its powerful enough to shatter mics and speakers alike. We only get a handful of lyricists like this a generation, and I'm damn glad this one got a spotlight.
Check out Chris Stapleton's song I Was Wrong. He has a live version from Austin City Limits. It's phenomenal. And by the way, this is not country, it may be catagorized as country, but this is straight up blues.
J.B., I listen to your reaction video at least once during the day. You know, when I think things just cannot get any worse, listening to Chris and you pouring out emotions, brings me back. This may be the greatest commentary, along with one of the greatest songs, in music today. Please keep it up for us. You do more good than you probably realize. I can tell you that you have for this 71 y.o. white dude. KEEP IT UP, BRO.
JB, this man is not human lol. That’s how great he is. I love watching your reactions man. You seem like a very awesome person. Continue in your quest my friend. Your not going to get much farther than this. This, is greatness.
He’s one of our true treasures. Outlaw country has a lot of soul like this. Don’t listen to that crap they’re putting on mainstream radio. That’s pop junk. Outlaw country is where it’s at man.
I first heard this song sung by Jason Crabbe several years ago. It is so powerful! Even Jesus/Yeshua wept in the Bible. The message is strong. Love this song..
I really don't consider this country . They just didn't know where else to put it so they put it in country . There's certain artists that just do their own thing , the list goes on and on , Chris Stapleton is Chris Stapleton
Angela Burnett loved Layne......have you heard AIC new stuff.....it’s not even remotely the same(in my opinion) and makes me miss him even more. the harmony that jerry and layne had cannot be replicated.
@@lillinsey100 I totally agree. I know people are divided on the subject. Most of us thought Jerry should have continued under a different name because noone wanted to hear anyone else but Layne sing those songs. The other side says we need to get over it and give William a chance. Im not saying the guy is bad but him singing the songs that Layne did is not ok with me. I would have been fine with Jerry singing them but noone else. William can sing all the new stuff he wants but I will never be fine with him singing the other songs.
amazing how many singers need background sounds and computers to sound good. You know a true singer and artist when they sing live without all that.... Christ is one of those true artists.
He has the best singing voice in music today in my opinion. The power, range, emotion, and ridiculous runs... And like you said, he's better live and not many singers are.
You said what I was thinking, we lost this singing and music along the way. And you are right, he sounds AMAZING LIVE! Wife and I saw him and we were blown away! He’s now at the top of the list with no doubt!
Chris is kind of his own music genre. A lot of his songs are absolutely amazing, especially off the Traveler record. I suggest also looking into Cody Jinx Loud and Heavy and other red dirt or Texas country.
Music brings people together 💝 When I was a kid we all used to listen to mostly the same stuff and it was a BOND and still is when that music plays. Thanks for this. It's for everyone
I'm digging your channel man. I can see the introspection you experience and that is probably the most valid experience/emotions we possess. Rock on... or soul on... or country on... or rap on... metal on... R&B on... you get the point!
