I am a member of backward caste but I embrace sanatan dharma. Yes their was a issue of caste discrimination but recently young people don't believe in it. And I have seen many members of my community returning back to hindu faith.

I don't understand how you can say that Dalits are well cared for in Hinduism or that this is only propaganda. Did you not hear the pain of the ladies talking about the loss of a loved one and the humiliation that they feel for being treated as animals? The kerosene stove which the worshipper's carried accidently created the fire. Hindus are different from Arya Brahmins to which Togadia belongs. There are about 4% Vedic Brahmins who treat the remaining 96% as Dalits - meaning broken people. Gandhi tried to bring them into the main fold hence was murdered brutally by a the Vedic Arya Brahmin - Nathuram Godse !

It's not that Indians are not proud of their culture. The religious conversions from Hinduism to other faiths is balanced equally by conversion of people from other faith to Hinduism in India (Pew Research 2021). The conversion is mostly among the so called lower castes who have no social mobility and are treated, unfortunately, as outcasts. To them embracing a different religion offers hope to escape the social evils of the caste system. I belong to the Brahmin caste by birth (the so called highest caste), but I can understand why the Dalits may want to convert. It's not a question of their histories, but of their present.

There wasn't any caste system in Hinduism before British colonized India, what we had was a varn system where everyone in a society had a purpose, a role. It wasn't anything fixed or rigid, a new born in kshatriya house needn't be kshatriya. What Britishers did is they used to allocate varn or jati with rigid titles according to demography for all sorts of surveys they did and they were the ones who introduced terms such as dalit, SC, ST which weren't native to the people of the land. You can back that up by reading the books of Islamic and Persian writers that stated the situation of that period and how beautiful the culture was back then, it wasn't like anything you are shown by these christian driven narratives, they couldn't destroy the hindu culture with war like they did with other pagan religions so they opted for the cheaper method, breaking India down from inside and introducing caste system so we can never get out of it.

How change of religion takes you to prosperity? Give them food help them don't sell your Abrahamic ideology. This is all mistakes Hindus and now hindus suffer. If someone reading my comment Hindus must unite.

I had visited Gujarat a few months back, situations have changed significantly after the Government changed from Congress party to BJP. People said it's the current Prime minister who served as a Cheif minister of Gujarat for more than 10 years before becoming Prime minister changed their lives by providing huge employment. You will see a different Gujarat today. There's no comparison between today's Gujarat and 2004's.
